    I tried a search, I couldn't find one ><

So I had a half int/dex build for a mage...read its better to go int.
    so forget CSPD

I also have a tank.... but I had added dex for ASPD. I just kinda wanna know how important ASPD/CSPD is in terms of how vital I would need it in stat points.

What I want really is a good tank and a good dmg mage. (Seperate characters ofc...I have 2)

mage go full int. raise your cspd using nun hat+seltiro xtal, although dex increases cspd, matk and reduces mp charging time but it's not worth it at the moment

Full int is the way to go with Mage. Worry about a secondary stat when we can cap our main stat (that will be between levels 95 and 100). For a tanky mage get Shield skills (you'll get Def, Mdef and 1k hp with the passives) and equip a Relief Shield which also will increase your hp. With the staff, just use elements in your favor.

Oh wow, my mage is also Dex/Int since ages and yup... I don't think it's worth it :x at least not for now.... Your damage will be rather low and the increase in cast speed isn't really exciting too. Not to mention there's a high chance the monster might be dead pretty fast too (due to other party members). Like what tekuuei and precaria said, full Int would be better (but it's still your choice ultimately). You could look at more recent guides too to help you decide.
I think there was a thread from last time that mentioned roughly 1000CSPD = 1s. Not sure how accurate that is but I use it as a gauge.

I did the same with my tank too.. Dex/Vit as I wanted the accuracy. (high five again) There's quite a number of types of tanks but stats/skills aside, I believe a good tank must 1. Hold the attention of the monster at all times, 2. Not die, 3. Direct the red attack areas of bosses/monsters away from your party members, 4. Note when to flinch or stun and when not to (in the case for some bosses).
