Stats for potential

I m making a blacksmith pg. And i want to make high pot item. So i started with a Katana BC and i see people up DEX(give 1 pot/every 10 dex???) And tec. But i see a guy up dex and then agi(1 pot /20 agi????) for make a more high pot katana.
Also i need to know for armor too wich stats i need to up? I see lot of guide,but katana not explained(cause old ).

armors gain pot from VIT only.
weapons usually gain pot from the stats that raise atk, but since there are so many STR weapons already, they switched it with AGI for katanas.

so katanas get pot from DEX and AGI.

and last thing.
Proficienty is olny for crafting high level equip or givr bost to pot or success rate of something?(have sometjing else utility i mean)

 

profiency affects the success rate of crafting.
if you try to craft something with an item level higher than your profiency, it will most likely fail.
but if your profiency is higher, it will most likely succeed.
