Greetings fellow adventurers. It has come to my notice that a lot of parties are getting wiped with the floor from rather easily avoidable attacks. Of course it might just because you got the timing wrong or the aggro holder messed things up for you, but a death is a death. It doesn't matter how strong you are or your partner is, but if the strong people die especially right from the start your team will immediately lose a lot of precious time.

Like what the title implies, this will be about skills that can potentially help with your survival issues in game. A lot of newbies doesn't even pay attention to some of these skills because they are fixated on spamming tier 4 skills. Without any further ado, let's start.

    Movement skills
We all know that Shukuchi is the most favored movement skill of almost everyone. It's passive, doesn't need MP, and pretty much have a very long range and can be triggered from 23-34 meters away from the enemy. However, sometimes we need something better than a simple charge towards the enemy. While some may be impractical now, it could still help out when certain conditions are met.
    Blade Skill: Sonic Blade/Supersonic Blade
Sonic Blade allows for quick movement when Shukuchi isn't available (i.e Slow ailment). Use it again to use Supersonic Blade. When close enough to the enemy, Supersonic Blade gives the same effect like Triple Thrust. For a low level sword user, this skill also doubles as a farming skill before level 70.
    Mononofu Skill: Triple Thrust
Triple thrust lets you move behind an enemy almost instantly and is very useful. Available when Shukuchi isn't usable.
    Dual Sword Skill: Charging Slash
Very similar to Triple Thrust and is quite strong, but can only be used when up close to the enemy to go behind them and make some distance. Some players made builds around this little thing. It can also be paired with Storm Reaper for making yourself look cool.
    Dual Sword Skill: Shadow Step
The edgy style to get behind an enemy.
    Dual Sword Skill: Storm Reaper
The tier 4 skill that doubles as a single target attack and backward movement skill. Less popular compared to Shining Cross due to the slower animation speed.
    Assassin Skill: Backstep
Quick animation, no casting time and costs only 1 MP. Definitely the best backward movement skill any weapon types can make use of at the moment. Some even makes use of this as a combo opener. Just always watch your back.
    Knight Skill: Assault Attack
Recommended at Level 1 only. This skill requires you to be within 6m to move. It's a good-for-nothing skill that is only useful for very specific conditions(ranged characters stop using Shukuchi at 5m, 8m for bg & 10m for bow. example situation: Seele Zauga's aoe skill at last phase, Commander Golem's ring AOE). Chance to knockback increases with skill level. If you level this up more you're seeking death. You're rushing near to the enemy not pushing it far and then eat the attack. Not really used by everyone because it sucks.

    Invincibility Skills
Skills usually used when you can't escape or have other purposes. Usually used to stand your ground, if not for counterattack.
    Knight Skill: P. Defense
The overused skill by tanks. Level 1 is fine for shield users who aren't tanks. Level 10 generates more aggro so tank really love this. Unless you're dealing with mana explosion attack(like seele's aoe) and extended lethal damage from enemy attack(i.e venena's laser), you can use this without problem.
    Halberd Skill: Dive Impact
The main skill of halberd farmers. Applies invincibility while airborne.
    Dual Sword Skill: Phantom Slash
The edgy dps skill with chance to freeze. Useful for bosses with ailment weakness against Freeze like Megiston. Applies invincibility during skill animation and can freely move out of it when not needed.
    Mononofu Skill: Magadachi(normal)
Lets you survive even when taking a fatal hit.
    Magadachi(Zannou)
Often used as extender for Tenryu Ransei. Great invincibility skill. When done right, you can negate damage and ailment effects on yourself.
    Mononofu Skill: Zantei Settetsu
The great counterattack skill. Parries one attack(doesn't negate ailment) and chance to inflict Armor Break on the enemy.
    Zantei Settetsu(Zannou)
Counterattack and extend Tenryu Ransei. Does not have Armor Break but have a small frame of invincibility.
    Blade Skill: Meteor Break
Main skill of 1h or 2h tier 4 skill users. Doubles as damage and dodging skill.
    Dual Sword Skill: Storm Reaper
Just like meteor break. Always watch your back before using it.
    Magic Skill: Burst
Didn't expect this one? That's normal. Tier 4 skill, Magic:Burst requires 7.7k cspd for instant cast. It offers a very small frame of invincibility which is incredibly hard to use for first timers and should only be used as last resort.

That's about everything I have to share. If I happen to miss something or provided a wrong info, don't hesitate to comment. I can't seem to upload a gif, so I'll do something about it later.

This is a neat and very helpful guide. How about Elegant Poise? It also offers invincibility has longer animation iirc, although certain status ailments like bleed, slow prevents you from casting it tho.

tanks can use assault attack to inflict slow (stop only works once per minute) and knockback can relocate foe epicenter AoEs and even cancel certain placed skills, such as masked warrior's rampage.

if you included this because of the movement, Dash (for knuckles) deserves to be mentioned as well.

most DPS - "Duhhh I should only get skills that deals a massive amount of damage to get attacker rank. Passives and survivability is for chumps! You're wasting SP on non-boosting skills noob! 10s of Kairiki is cool LOL, I get flaming effects and boosts my attacks. Youtubers have like the best builds out there, you should copy them unless you're a noob!

OK, here comes the implementation of new guard and evasion systems. I think it should be put in here too.
