Tank: what do you do when your party member die?

Hello

So what do you do when your party members die?

It seems to be a stupid question but it almost happend to me once or twice with inexpreience team members.

Today i start tanking FV (im lvl 40.. and my tank build is based on @Combos guide) .. i cleary told my teammate that i will tank before we start)

I ran to FV and casted provoke so FV focused on me...

1) Then i noticed that the mage girl was RIGHT NEXT TO ME (what was she doing here) casting wall and arrow.

Then she ran behide me and use mp recharge) .. then most of the time she either stand next to me or underneath FV.

2) breaker: okay, first they have to be in the frint to break the head... but after we break it ...they still staying in the front (i expect them to move to the side to be safe)

And the peak moment was when FV constantly cast his fire ( i can survire up to 2-3 hits with 4k hp , restore and miniheal, revita2)

But then the mage who was by myside and other team players also didnt move in time #_#

2 of them die ... and one of them are on fire...(luckily the mage survire)

I was like **&*&^€((*#@' ...

Luckily the mage still survire and we kill FV with just two of us.

But this happend a few time and i make me wondering what should i do if i am the only one that survire .....

1) i already cast provoke on him so he would continue attacking me
2) i cant do damage
Or
3) gotta wait a min or 2 before they are up ....

But that was a frusturating moment

 

I think the problem was that you had bad teammates..Mages should away stay away from Flare Volg to avoid getting hit by his Aoes or when casting Wall, at least behind or on the side of him. Warriors should be on the side or behind of Flare Volg.

That what i did ..

The team leader is really annoying also ... she went in and didnt wait for anyone. I was mp recharge outside when the battle start .... =_=

Btw, it is so hard fiding a pt at any boss now a day.

Sometime we has only 2-3 person in the team... so i couldnt be choosy around this time.

Guess people go skele farming @_@

 

Why not just make your own party? I'll join you if you ever want to do boss farming.

 

When this happens....just call your teammates and say:
I will find you,and kill you(r) phones.

 

skele farming lol . . . i havent been there since forever LOL what can i get there thats worth the travel anyways ?????

 

I just guessing that they go skele farming coz we cant find another mage to join our team at FV area.

We need about 1-2 mage to kill FV

 

Darwin will win out. They'll learn to not combust or find another game to play. I took the third path and made 'I'M ON FIRE! I'M ON FIRE!!' a quick paste for party chat

FV is the new bd spot for new players, I've notice alot of low levels trying to get a pt. so I'm not suprise by the mistakes being made. anyhow if u want to do volg sometimes let me know. I can Mage or tank :3

If ever your party members die. You could revive one of your dpser since you have 1.6k mana and can quickly recover mp. 1.6k mana is when your wearing m.potum staff.
Its your party members thats having a fault here coz they never dodge fv aoe skills. They should have stayed at the back of fv cast wall get distance and spam their combos. If wall wears off they can manually cast it again.

If I ever get into the situation that my party dies before me, i'll use First Aid on the one with most mp regeneration capabilities or best support skills. If I can talk during that time, i'll ask them what happened for them to die so that we can correct it on the fly. As soon as that other player is up, it is their job to revive the next person, not yours.

I blame you more for the situation your party had though. Of course they're also at fault, but you have the majority of it imo. I say this because you didn't take the time to ask them why they were being damaged or were in the positions they were in. If you see a player stand next to you. Ask them why they're there. 7/10 times, they'll come to realize why that position might be disadvantageous. The other 30% of the time you'll take a minute to explain it to them.

"Stay behind Volg after breaking the head."
"Stay behind or to the side of the monster to avoid damage."
"How did you get hit by that?"
"Why are you casting next to me?"

It doesn't take much more than a few sentences to get players positioned properly. It takes someone (preferably the tank) to orchestrate positioning though. With 4k hp, Restore/Vaccines, and heal. You have more than enough tools to tell a person to reposition. If they don't and they die. That's completely and utterly on them. If you don't speak up and say anything though, it is always on you. Every single time.

I really wish I could dislike some post here though. The advice is just bad...

 

Haha if its me. Just make jokes of our party to lighten pt mood. Everyone doesnt like dying right?
If you can kill the boss. Kill it.
If you can first aid them and they STRUGGLE. Help them.
If you cant. Just retreat. Simple.

 

Your a good person i dont really mind others..i dont care if they die..as a long as there aiming one thing... survive and dont loss the battle ..if im the one survive..then ill wait for time or portal out from the boss and start for a new plan or league

 

I think ur pt members were just not on point and i usually leave the pt when im stuck in a bad one. Cus technically my atks are useless so i have to rely on other players for the damage, a tank can only do so much.
I get it, maybe u were tryna be nice but it is a tad bit difficult to have morals when ure dealt w dumbos heh,
Just leave after the first battle if u dont wanna talk to them cus i for one hate seeming as bossy hahahahahaah. Come play w me if u need pt
