Tanks stats

What are the valid options to distribute stat points for tanks?
I only know two options
All vit, rest mtl
All mtl, rest vit
Are there anything else?
(cause i was kinda thinking to add Crit instead of mtl on a bg tank since i don't have high Crit rate bg. Is this valid? )

 

Mostly its always Vit>Mtl
If you looking for crit, there is some crit boosting xta like Gespenst 2, Seele, Zelbuse, Volgagon (gives 1k aspd too, but pricy)
Lv7 crit food buff also helpful.

You need to wait some month for summer event tho since its the only event that has 100 crit bg

 

Uhm Do both Diver bg and cone bg come in summer event only?

 

Diver bowgun and Aqua shooter is only in summer event exchange
Cone bowgun event is collab, so i kinda doubt it will return

The only non event bg that has crit now is Lil emp bg, Short Musket, Revolver, Achti Bg
All of em has 25 critrate

What's the point of the damage on a tank? And waaait hold on hold on, max int then rest vit... This feels like my finale dps mage rather than a tank tbh x3

 

If you're battling against a super high difficulty boss and did a gemrun, or any battles that lasts around 5-10 minutes or more, a tank that can do 30-100k damage meteor/snipe/armbreak/chariot/shield cannon/blinding strike at a time every 20-30 seconds can already contribute millions of damage over the course of the whole battle, which would significantly shorten the time needed to farm the boss. Weapons like thunder axe, proto clarity sword, cone horn 3, lethal silver knuckles 3, mortal katar is perfect for this kind of semi-dps tanks. I also abandoned mtl on my tank and went for str>vit semi dps using thunder axe or proto clarity. The best part about this is you can take all the ranks when fighting against the new bosses, when all your dps mates keeps dying all the time you can still rely on yourself to do reliable damage.

 

With these new 1hs (Proto clarity, Thunder axe,etc), tank can actually deal damage now.
Meteor breaker, shield cannon, binding strike, etc.
Last time i used my smited shield cannon, it deals 250k dmg to boss.
I even got attacker rank once

Ofc its depend on your priority
To help your pt deal damage, or to prevent those pesky ailments bothering you
Problem is, those weapon are event locked
If you can, try to get proto cus not only it has high atk that will help your tap dmg but it also have 3m auto atk range (1hs generally have 2m) also ofc you need some xta to cover those missing crit

 

I see.. I understand that, I think that applies to knuckles and ohs tanks only? So i could combo meteor breaker to do the damage.
But can I still go for a semi dps tank using a bowgun or a staff?

 

Well its possible if your stat is int/str/dex+Vit
1hs has meteor breaker and binding strike
Bg has snipe and cf
Staff is obviously finale
Knuck has Chariot and rush (altho knuck dmg is lower than other class)
As long you use shield, shield cannon always there (Tho, the target must got stunned by that to deal dmg)
