The usefulness of the Ailment stat.

    I forgot the ailment stat name, But What usefulness does it even serve when It comes to this game which let's be honest its all dps and ailment effects can be spammed?

    u can spam anything but ailment effects hv a cool down period, so even if u spam it may not activate or hit.

    I'm talking about The Mental stat usefulness. Not as in player inflicted ailments to a mob/Boss.

    Mental increases your resistance to ailments, that's about all I know about it, not quite sure about what it does besides that :C

    Thats what I'm going on about. What is the actual usefulness of ailment resistance. Bosses have a 5-6 second DPS spam cooldown and sometimes, They consecutively spam AOE ailments in a chain like fashion with a 1-3 second cool down.

    Mtl increases your ailment resistance% stat.
    You are less like to get ailments like poison, armor break, flinch, tumble, ignite from mobs/bosses whose attacks are not 100% inflict.

    The usefullness of this is that you don't get as much ailments; thus getting less damage taken from boss if for certain ailments like Ignite and Poison :rolleyes:

    As far as I know only pure tanks use it :D

    The stat is not useful for dps char its better for tank char.
    Bosses normal atks (single target non aoes) usually have less than 100% inflict so having more mtl will reduce the chances of you getting ailment better.
    Example:-Roga wont be able to armor break you, jade/sg wont be able to poison you if you have more mtl.

    (unrelated) I am just wondering if it decreases the chance of flicnh tumble and stun though

    Also: vaccine is in fact a 100% guarantee for no ailment for 2 minutes (just for 1 ailment though) and the Support Skill Recovery can do the same; if maxed it prevents from ailments for 2min iirc and it can remove 2 ailments at the same time!

    So yeah; MTL has debatable usefullness imo :oops:

    Mtl is just ailment res% some still believe it increases physical/magic res% but it doesnt (tested with 255mtl last year), imo having this as second or 3rd stat isnt really worth it because of the items/skill we have to remove them, a lvl10 Recovery removes them for like 25secs so it doesnt need to be spammed either

    Recovery just like vaccine vanishes after it heals 1 ailment immediately in 25sec if you use it when you got no ailment and if you use it when you have 2 ailments it will heal them but again it wont stay for duration u can immediately get them again for ailments that dont have cooldown. So still need to spam it.

    i could also say that VIT and HP is not useful as stat because we have potions :p

    i use vaccine and it's great, but we can only use 1 item every 10 seconds, so it prevents you from using revitas.
    recovery cannot be used on yourself and the number of player who can and will use the skill can be counted on 1 hand :p

    minotaur burns and paralyzes you with each attack, vaccines can't keep up with that speed and when your revita is locked because you used vaccine, you will most likely die.
    ruin golem inflicts 3 servere status ailments in sequence, so vaccine will cure the 1st and you get the 2 others and cannot use revita.
    having ailment resistance really helps a lot there.

    many bosses also inflict slow to prevent you from escaping their red zones.
    forestia inflicts stop before she kills you.
    jade's eggs constantly hit you with poison.
    mauez and yelb prevent you from using any skills with bleed and silence.
    demon gate and empress can use all elements with all ailments.

    as a squishy attacker/supporter you don't need to worry because you will die anyways, but as a knight and especially a heavy armored one who can't dodge/evade attacks it's very important to be resistant.

    Ur right, lets all have 1vit and the minimum hp and watch ourselves get 1h kod or maybe 2 because revs cant keep up and miniheal isnt instant
