Tips and how to refine??

I've heard a lot of people say there's tricks, but as long as I'm refine, there's no trick at all ,and is there a hidden formula? As if at equipmen there was a xtal... would be more difficult,

 

slots decrease success rate.
no tricks involved, it's all hard coded.

skills and TEC raise the base rate, support items multiply the base rate.
(except for tickets, they set the refinement value to a fixed level, but success rate still depends on the previous level.)
each ore has set base success rates and degradation rates.

the success rate for +S is still just 1%, no matter what.

Learn to search the forum. It's been known for 5 years already.

Not mentioned in the video in that thread is the rubberbanding success rate theory. But i don't know if that even works anymore. (I haven't refined in 2 years).

Also worth mentioning that what was shown on the vid is the refining of a Tyrant Mask NS. The success rate he had here is typical for NS equipment. For slotted equip, the success rate is waaay worse.

 

If it isn't mentioned on the thread, then which is the point of using search bar for finding it?
I know how to refine. If I just type "refining" under search bar, a lot of results will appear. I wouldn't bother clicking on a thread which just has a video about something I already know and I don't even bother watching things about toram when I can just read and figure out how it works. But whatever, I'll just test this in-game, it's pretty easy to figure out if this is true or not based on risk bar.

According to coryn, refining from +8 to +9 with t4 bs refining skills has 70.5% of chance using mithril... This translates into risk 3 in-game. If slots actually decrease success rate, then success rate must be below 70.5%, so we must have a lower risk in game.
This wasn't what happened. For either ns, 1s or 2s, result was same: Risk 3. So there are three possibilities: 1) slot doesn't affect success rate, 2) it affects success rate by less than 0.5% or 3) current risk displayed is wrong.
To me it's very likely 1 is the case, but 3 is possible, since it happened recently with customize equipament success rate.

 

You are wrong. Slot don't change success rate. Only increase the range for degradation.

Use 1m orbs I am sure you will get +S Refinement without worrying about what other's saying ^-^ hope my ass there is always a easy way ..m you can obtain anything and everything if you want to just the problem is it won't be cheap/free ^-^ get all successful rate items and keep trying for 10 min +S was never been that easy .... it's one of the most easiest way of obtaining +S Refinement in 10 min I asure you ^-^
