ultimate mercenary

hi guys , some of us doesntv really care about mercenary , but today im going to show you that mercenary can be very helpful during solo play or solo farm.
my mercenary can solo metal stinger or even warmonger on nightmare difficulity, here some video!

Remember critical, critical damage, guard, evasion all these do not work for mercenaries so your only way to hit a boss with higher DEX so its best if you go for full str rest DEX. Do not use critical damage gears if you are right now, best stats would be str+7% dex+10/11/12 atk+7% on weapon and for armor str+7% dex+10/11/12 and hp+% or something
2 classes have exceptionally high damage while being mercenaries:-
2h=Gets 2x(Power) for damage dealt
DW=Gets 4x(Power) for damage dealt
But dw has comparatively slower auto attack but they can get higher hit rate by dex.

Yours is still far from being ultimate yet I would like to see how you progress with the right info. As of now theres still lots of mysteries surrounding mercs a main reason why you dont see merc builds.

Personally i use merc as tank or a prorator. Most of us steer away from md equipped merc tank. I for one use em well on ms and most boss battles due to the fact that their random constant movements keeps them alive.(i have a bg tank that i use as tank partner for my pet summoner) most of the time sheild is used by tanks but on merc it makes them stay putt and get hammered to Oblivion really fast. Now i can farm ms and yeti with no revitas since the merc tanks and my pet kills i just prorate and support the pet(yup, its possible farm bosses with just a weapon in hand and nothing else)

 

I have figured that out.
It is most prolly due to aspd. Once it reaches a certain lvl of aspd prolly like 800-900 they will stop kiting altogether and just stay at one position attacking endlessly. Even if I had shield but my aspd was low it would keep kiting instead of staying at a place.

Yah, only problem about that is that they attack long range, setting any aoe away from the target and having more chance to hit the merc. Md attacks close range, and then moves away 5m from the target before coming back closerange to attack again. If the target is fast enuf or the merc is a bit too slow, you may see them chase each other until the 5m gap is reached or the merc gets hit. Which means that the merc is constantly dodging aoe and last longer. Of course due to low aspd aggro generation of this merc sucks to a degree. So -aggro gears is almost a must have for better aggro management.

Since im also using a pet, aggro switches constantly between my pet and my def merc. So my combos mainly consist of attack skills with pet mp charge somewhere in the combo.
