The Toram x Alchemia Collab Event stream will begin from 8pm JST, 25/9 (Wed)!
The first collaboration event for "Toram Online" and "Alchemia Story" has been confirmed to start from 25/9/2019 (Wed).
Mascot characters "Potum (Toram)" & "Gerumi (Alchemia)" will appear on each other's games.
Furthermore, collab avatars & limited items will be implemented.

The following will be the livestream timetable!
- Alchemia Story: 8pm - 9pm (JST)
- Toram Online: 9pm - 10pm (JST)
Parties will be formed during the stream, let's all have fun!

I personally haven't played Alchemia Story, so I don't know what to expect... But a collab's a collab, I suppose?
It hurts me internally to mimic the original tone of the text though...

 

So I guess AlcheSto's popularity has dropped since last year's summer, Asobi decided to haul potential new players from the more popular game.

 

Makes sense, whenever I glanced at Alchemia streams, there were usually only 100+ viewers lol

 

Alchemia is just pure grind with about q94i2928 hrs of garbled text tutorial.

Not much fun but the customization available in the game is better than Toram.

 

It had potential tbh, but cringy dialog texts killed it. Alchemia also decided to stop giving premium currency (gems) after few months of release when before it was easily obtained by collecting the shards from daily quests.

 

The grind is hell lmao. After getting a Rank 1 job to lv40, the exp gap between each level to 50 is much much wider (49-50 is around 1m, meanwhile advanced+ diff battle only gives 16k). And that's only rank 1 jobs. Customization is good but more options can be bought with gems. Back around release, getting gems were way too easy, until they heavily nerfed achievements rewards to something else.

Also the translations are pretty messy, can't they just get Toram's or Iruna's translators to do it?

Kinda excited for the collab nonetheless.

 

I just hope during the collab, toram gives us the opportunity to customize breasts size.

 

Only 1 of my characters would benefit from that. All the others are male cuz I my armor app (Santa III) looks really bad on female.

Also that'd probably cause a ton of bugs.

 

Manboobs is a thing. We can always equip light soda swimsuit / seashell armor and female character konosuba bottom avatar (the ones with skirt of course).

 

ALSO I just remembered that Alchemia has some gachas that only accept paid gems. I hope there won't be paid orb exclusives in the collab.

 

nver got into Alchem. gacha is too p2w, and translations were quite unbearable.

 

i played alchemia before with my friends before it was global... (jap ver)

aethetically,it was beautifully designed,i like the maps and open world but the gameplay was just pure bland,boring and chore filled with little wanted rewards for what you worked for,that's why i quit shortly after reaching veteran.

 

I fully agree with you. I also felt that the story was flat. Nothing like Iruna or Toram.

Alchemia Story (AS) had potential....then they ruined it.

I remember the mass migration to AS. But after a while, the weapon and skill upgrade system became boring and repetitive.

>Upgrade weapons / armour and limit break them by using identical copies.
>Weapons and armour mainly available through gacha system. And gacha items were significantly better....so basically wtf and it felt all my progress was basically false... no sense of achievement. As equipment basically = power/rank
>Upgrading skills...by farming the same dungeon mobs for upgrade orbs. No challenge, just hours of time doing the same thing. If I recall upgrading a skill to level 100...gave +10% damage.

They did so many things right...
- Novel combat system and combo features
- Nice music
- Amazing environments
- Great appearances
- Hidden bosses/mobs and item chests/recipes
- Side quests and a hidden story arc
- Relevant materials dropped by mobs are actually used in recipes.
- Great events with decent rewards.

But the game failed miserably with...
- Equipment gacha focus (always a bad idea, outside of gacha based games)
- Skill leveling system
- Rushed main story arc... sometimes making the story to basic ruins the feel. Had no sense of mystery and wonder...just a spoon feeding exercise in making maps have a place in the universe.

Like, they should have learnt from their other games on what skill systems work...by asking their fans.

I personally like the Toram skill system, as it gives me an opportunity to be creative. And I also like Pokebel/Avebel Lupinus (SP??) skill upgrade system where you have the opportunity to modify the skill with variants when the skill reaches level 6.

I would like to see a different upgrade system for equipment though. As in you have to learn the recipes by finding the original weapon, and finding more recipes of different weapons allows you to share attributes between designs. This would effect what stats could be applied, elements and special attributes. Otherwise we end up with literally identical weapons, and a linear path where there is no real competition just BS with bots vs BS with time.

But from all my experiences, I'd like to see Asobimo create a more unified approach to sharing success between games.

> Creative equipment appearances
> Hidden bosses/Items and an actual rarity system based on time/skill...rather than a pay2obtain system.
> Balanced drop vs craft system. As in drops can be reforged into customised versions to modify their base stats and keep them relevant with each update.

- Subscriptions with minor storage and exp/drop rate boosts. Handy for leveling and farming basic mats with limited time.
- Avatar appearances, as I do enjoy making my characters looks a particular way. Even if it's just small things like an aura, smoking pipe, eye patch
- Exp/Drop rate boosters books
- Fast travel items
- I've gambled for piercers, but because the weapons/equipment become outdated...what was the point... so I'm less inclined to use them now... unless they allow us to improve out outdated gear.
- Not going to lie, I've spent a lot rerolling stats on avatars. They haven't made me more OP than the poor balancing in game hahaha (actual crying inside)
- I'd pay for drop gems, but I would prefer a mix of difficulties where some bosses and difficulties prevent drop gems from being used. So that rarity still means something.
- Premium currency should be required to increase trades per day / player to player trades limits. Like a subscription would prevent the limits, or one paid orb per day allows +100 trades.


But anyway. Looking forward for some unique content.

i hope they put the basic leather armor from AS into toram as craftable,the app looks good and cute as heck for females iirc.

 

As someone who played both, ill just say that Alchemia is better in almost everything except the turn combat.
Then again, Torams ain't that better anyway.
Also the story is 100x better then Toram.
And the skill system is better then Torams "waste dozen sp just to get that 1 skill" system.

I would certainly contradict the Story of AS being better than Toram's. AS is kind of a convoluted mess and what I got from it is "the rulers where either fakes or asses and the armies are at war for stupid reasons".
Oh and don't get me started on the supposed "death" that we have in AS, that one was basically just 1 gut punch (due to Mao-chan's "sacrifice") and a lot of confusion. Like, OK, I get that I died and everything but 2 YEARS HAVE PASSED?! There are literally no changes in the world whatsoever in those 2 years, past asses are still asses, people couldn't even bother to locate you or anything until you got out of "Demon Country", and now there's apparently Elemental spirits involved into all of this?
Toram's story may seem a bit flimsy at first, not gonna lie there, but like half of it has some context if you bothered to play Iruna. Why is Obligaus a lame ex-God? Look at Iruna. Why is the world not gone to shit with Almas missing (again)? Look at Iruna. Who are the Dark Generals and what do they mean by knowing a human before? Look at Iruna. What the hell are some things like Ancient Empress, the Magic Cannon at Singolare, and even the "Catura" people reference? Look. At. Iruna.
The story of Toram makes sense if you have the context for the parts of it that may make no sense when just seen the first time, but that is why the game is literally a sequel to begin with. After all, who would play the 2nd game on a series and expect to know everything that happens on it? Especially if it's supposed to be a semi direct continuation?
