Upgrade equipment question

Just wanted to check does BS prof affect pots used when using upgrade equipment skill? I have a full tech BS for those who are going to suggest that just wanted to know would the pots used go down if I had a higher prof lv on my tech bs.

I thought upgrading equipment relied on stats and not prof since you can refine and add stats pretty well without prof lvls

 

Yeah i thought so too but i don't have certain options when upgrading that i notice some people commonly use. Also even with high pot arms i get a 0% chance of success on armor I commonly see for sale so I was wondering if it was due to proficiency level.

 

Maybe it was your level, or the stats that you have, do you have all 196 stat points into tech?

 

That's why i stated in the first post i had full tech. Lv70 196 tech

you get different pots and success rate base on how you add your stats.

Try this out in trash armors. This is just an example that you can try.
put -2% acc. on first slot then upgrade equip. Nxt put -4 acc then upgrade equip. Record how much pot you gained
now do the same thing but this time put -2% and -4 acc. together then upgrade equip. See how much pot you gained

You can also do the opposite and add stats. try adding stats 1 slot at a time and try another one with 3 slots then check the difference in success rate.

Makes that much of a difference? I normally just put negative stats last. Well I'll try it out later.

Tried it, my success is half the rate when I do one at a time.

There are benefits when adding stats 1 at a time, 2 at at time or all at the same time depending on different situations.

 

I figured. Just wondering how people getting certain stats I don't have options for or have 0% success rate like magic peirce -4% and how people get mage arms 6 int 3-4% matt.

 

I guess it's because when upraging, negatives can become positives and positives can get a higher stat I guess? Partly luck I'd think.
