Volgagon. Way to kill it.

First. Imma inform you that all the meelee class is absolutely useless here..

The parties you need here are finale with p.def and cf with skill to read pattern and of course the most important, the tank bg or the sword and knucks with power wave. And remenber, any ailment has no effect on the boss.
Okay. Here it is. In phase 1 the boss is easy to kill. There is a three and a root in her back. The tank need too lure her in there and stop his movement after you her from moving using the root. All the party read pattern first. The pattern is all easy to remember. But it's hard to get a timing. While rendering her from moving, the finale with p.def can go beside the tank. After you kill it, you will proceed on phase 2. Which is fairly easy to understand. Actually all of phases is easy to understand.
On phase 2, a fire element, there, you can still render her from moving using the root. She has two main att. The flamethrower and the energyball. The enrgy ball targets the farthest one or in random (really sure). That's the only skill the finale user need to look for. Then on the 3rd phase, which is the hardest one. All you need to do is run. Hahaha. Yes.. run. Don't stop. While she follows the tank all around the map. However, there is a trick on this one. There is one moment where you can attack her without a problem. Okay, let me get you to the situation. First the tank and all other party need to run. When she jump. She cast a skill in consecutive of 4 and 8. Then cast a 2 straight line wave. While the tank runs. The tank need to get as far as he can. Then that time, when she walks toward the tank, she doesn't do anythin untill she reaches the tank in the distance of 19m then she will roll over to tank. After that. She will cast a fire ball or lightning ball then jumps around, skill around. Then repeat the same process, YOU ALL NEED TO RUN. untill the tank get a distance and when she walk towards the tank. After that. On the last phase. This one is a easy one. The most easy phase. Just like the 1st and 2nd phase. You can render her from moving using the root. When that happens. You need to have a one person that get as far as he/she can. One you render her from moving. She target the farthest one with her fireball, the one she aims need to have p.def and perfect timing or just run. Don't die. Cuz that will ruin the situation. The all the other party can cast their skill without problem. They will not get any damage.



That's all. That's all i can manage to get in my two fight to her. All takes 40 and 30 mins.

Allso.. you will need a tons of pot and set your orb item like health potion and mana potion. Just in case you die. You u can use it to replenish you mana. Because you will have a hard time recovering you mp with all of the barrage of skill

 

Boss is easy to tank, the problem is the dps. Need good dps that knows the pattern well enough to survive.

Edit: Also, the best timing to attack at phase 3 is when volg skip and cast those circles like crazy, it will cast blue straight line wave twice at the tank. That's the best time to release cf.

Better stay far from the tank. The boss pattern is easy, the only problem is the timing to avoid the bullet attack and dodging those waves.

 

As a tank, I find this spot to the the easiest to limit its movement. Not the best spot for dps though, you really need to time your dodge as the tree will limit your movement instead

Absolutely useless

 

short and simple :

the boss turns purple when inflicted with an ailment that is not "flinch,tumble,stun"
(ignite,freeze,slow,blind,fear,etc...etc..)


when it turns purple you can flinch,tumble,stun the boss to stop it from rampaging for a few seconds and in theory,can stunlock it forever IF your teammates is good at constant ailment giving.

+ the area near the tree to the bottom right is the standard ground for easier tanking and limiting the boss wave attacks

+ it has 4 phases,the 3rd one is the most rage induced but the 4th is the most painful.

Edit : I changed my mind,the 3RD one is literally the devil's incarnation,it was so f*cking ridiculous,hell naw,everyone gangsta until the boss starts doing kangaroo moves repeatedly,evil,just pure evil.

the attacks are almost impossible to avoid and seemingly endless,you need correct ailment timing and the tank has to work right away at it to stop the boss from slaughtering people with it's blue titanic flame bomb.

 

Is 1hs tank is really powerless here?
I haven't attempted the boss, but seeing the replies kinda scares me

 

Yeah seems useless to you. I just share to be effective from my own perspective. First and foremost i am not obliging you to follow my way of doing things or anything. So just stay quiet and do nothing when you find it not suitable to your taste, YOU MAGGOT.

 

No, not really most all dps i think. But in tank pov i think it depens on a player how he/she manage to take the raid to the end.

 

Btw, did the boss have point blank fatal or heavy dmg atk (Like Zarth 3 high frac wave)

No. There is non. But they are just too power full. Can reach up to 12k damage in one hit. But for tank. Anything except phase 2's energy ball, phase 3's thunder shock and thunder ball, minors are thunder wave, that's have a bit power. And on the 4th phase, the fire ball, fire bomb or whatever you call it.

 

The Red Ball on the last phase is fatal. And the boss does affected by ailments, just like Kaejuda said, thats why bg tank is better in most cases, since they have moeba,para,armor break, etc. to make volg purple & stun it. Imo ohs tank is also viable, as long as you can stuck volg and keep up with your mp(champagne solve this). Try to bring 1 guy with p.def to be a dedicated "Balls Eater", with only 1 job: to be targeted by every yellow & red balls.

 

So... can anyone solo this boss yet?

 

soloing is possible,with a mage semi-tank ultilizing p.defense,surrounding enviroment to the fullest and has enough chönk to survive the phases (seriously this boss hit so hard every single attack it does can instantly kills anyone having under 9000 hp within a 10m radius).

it would be a pure headache just for flexing,i highly recommend not to do this.

 

just because ailments affected it doesn't mean you will have an easy time fighting it...

it's still a piece of random fudging annoying poop flinging kangaroo...

the attack dmg stays the same,with an ailment inflicted,it's defense decrease by around 25% i think... (probably,idk usually die when trying to observe too close) indicated by the purple skin.


have no idea if multiple ailment stacks can lowered it more than 25% or not,and i don't care,getting a let's work together happy go lucky team,is impossible.

Ahhhh this boss is so hard but I can't help but keep trying because of how excitingly challenging it is.
I suppose now I'll have to get p.def on my mage now, the third phase is terrifying lols

I don't think I'll be making big adjustments to my mage just for this though, unless future bosses are going to be like this.

Say, is it possible to solo this boss? Like I want to see someone do it.

Is there no way to survive with finale except pdef?
I got killed in 3rd wave by a 9k damage fireball (lel my hp is higher but didn't put eb up that high)...
As in, what about hp + evasion (+ revita 7000hp I guess)?
