What are the different kind of builds for arcane strike?

    Pros and Cons?

    Looking for
    1) High DPS - preferably able to do 2m on venena ultimate.
    2) Easy to recover MP
    3) survivability.

    I remember seeing a Staff-fu build that utilizes Arcane Strike alot as a main dps.

    Staffu Sux dps wise. Its more convenient for normal diff bosses.

    staff-fu can't use arcane strike, it's a dagger exclusive skill.

    Has a high multiplier (if you have high MP) if i read the calcs right and nice ampr boost for a short time after.

    It also repositions you behind the target to allow for a nice follow up with assassin stab but im not sure how a combo like that would work...

    Its a physical skill and as such is affected by critical without the weaken element, therefore, you want to build for high crit damage, crit rate and high phys attack.

    You can only use this skill with dagger sub and as such, it is useable with: 1h sword, bowgun, katana, halberd, knux, staff.

    Best attack power belongs to STR growth type weapons: 1h sword, halberd, katana. Although staff gains attack from STR, as well, it would be up to your creativity to make such a build work.

    Best MP recovery weapons are: Bowgun for decoy shot and staff for mp charge + maximizer. Bowgun may be better as you can move after placing the decoy. Staff may be better because your MP is almost completely full after.

    For survivability, you need to consider the weapon itself:
    1) 1h sword has self HP recovery with buster sword and invincibility with meteor breaker.

    2) katana has counter based defensive and attacking skills

    3) Halberd is shit in that area relying on overpowering than defence. In later updates, their high evasion from GSW would fix that.

    4) Bowgun has range

    5) Staff has range and ailments but you might be rooted during casting of magic. It is not very mobile.

    6) Knux has range (chariot), lockdown ability and a damage halving ability which can be challenging to work into a combo, especially for reactive bosses.

    Arcane Strike on Staves... Well, for one, you can't be expected to run Magic Skills if you go w/ Str, so you are gonna have to rely on some odd ways of producing DPS besides Arcane Strike. Maybe you'd have to use Dagger Skills, Dancer Skills, and a now single target Chariot.

    Ok, as someone who has used it since release. Here is how to get the most out of it.

    1) arcane (save) and the end of a combo. Is a double edged sword, you can avoid aoes but also just straight into them.

    - 0mp combo ender + AMPR buff

    2) Impact + Arcane: Half the cost at half the power. No real benefits in damage, as it is calculated as MP used.

    3) Back step (out of AOE) + Arcane (smite). A useful way to max out damage of Arcane as it will maintain 2000mp, rather than 1900mp.

    In terms of dps, it's not a reliable dps skill. The damage is ok, but the risk does not stack up.

    It's hard to say what the skill is designed for...as the end of the animation is a bit broken. So I am assuming it was probably designed late
