What is unsheathe attack?

One of the DW/DS skills mentions it, but I don't know what is.

 

When attack requires you to pull sword from your back.

This includes, but not limited to:
First normal attack
DW skills if not used consecutively. If you alternate DW skills with other skills, you will notice that the sword(s) are being put back, and pulled out when you use DW skills again.

Attacks after evasion is also an unsheathe attack.
So take advantage of it xD

 

I think that one is called the evasion attack

 

Try the new DW skill "ShadowStep", it will perform the unsheathe attack after the skill let you move to the back of the enemy ☆

 

It's not there no animation for evade attcks

 

DW's evasive attack's animation is the same with it's unsheathe attack

 

evasion attack is only for daggers.
other weapons don't attack on evasion.
dual swords use unsheath attack for everything.

 

Unsheathed atk is any atk u do right after u pull out(unsheathe) ur swords

 

DW's has 3 atk animations

a 5 hit - off hand attack (you attack with your sub first)
a 6 hit - main hand attack (you attavck with your main first)
a 3 hit - evasion/first attack (You evaded/You entered combat with a normal attack) (The animation for both is an "unsheathe attack" so let's call it that and just throw away the word's dictionary meaning for the convenience of not have multiple terms)

Unsheathe attack isn't everything you do after you pulled out your sword, God Speed's Tooltip stated "Unsheathe Attack "such" as First Attacks, Evasion Attacks and Certain Skills that's the only thing that's considered as Unsheathe Attacks

 

Guard atks are unshealthe atks aswell

 

Okay so when switch to DW skills from other skills I get the unsheathe atk bonus??? Wht about skills where the unsheathe animation is used for the skill(trigger Slash for 1h)

 

I think it counts. You can see that the second sword is put away when Trigger slash is in motion, then the second sword is pulled after when you switch to dual skill.

 

now i wonder if other weapons use unsheath attacks too ...
recently i noticed that my knight has different slash animations. the overhead and the sideway slash seen to be picked randomly, but the first attack when he draws his sword is different. he turns around and does something like a roundhouse kick-slash.
when i watched more closely, i noticed that this attack is also used after switching to the shield and back to sword, like when guard is triggered or when i attack with the shield (shield bash, assualt attack).
but i have yet to find out if the damage is different or not ...

 

I think so. Especially with Shield Canon, the sword is put back every time.

 

where is shadow step on the skill tree

 

At tier 3 dual sword skill,the skill from cross parry and charging slash path,you can learn the tier 3 dual sword skill if any of your character at lvl90 \●ω●
