What's the cheapest/easiest class?

By easiest, I mean if we compare actual effectiveness to the cost of creating that build.

This is because I am broke af.

I'm assuming it goes something like this:

1) Tank: Due to dps itself being irrelevant, you just honestly just need Vit/Aggro and P. Def. Everything else helps but is non-vital.
2) Mage: Due to Finale getting a free massive skill constant/multiplier, gains you get from gear is much less as you pretty much already start off with... ~60%? of maximum dps.
3) [1h, 2h, DW, Bow(gun), Katana, Knucks]? Not sure on order.
4) Halberd: Due to DT having an ass skill constant of 0, gears and Atk buffs make or break your build. I still haven't been able to pass 150k x2 DT since I own, like 0 xtals, and no custom gears, and I like skills other than the Battle Skills.

Flexibility can also be looked at, seeing how many GOOD variants of builds you can make from 1 class type.

1) DW: I think at this point, DW has so many good dps skills, and a wide variety of utility skills and hp/mp sustain, along with 3 main stats, that one could build so many differing builds.
2) 1h/Knucks/Bowgun: Those 3 have the most flexibility with sub-weapons.
3) Bow/Mage/Tank: While fairly linear, Bowtana exists, Staff-fu exists, and tanks have enough downtime to double as dps or support.
4) Halberd/Katana: Frankly extremely linear.

What do you guys think?

Just mildly salty that I've been playing this game for 3 years, and still suck at it. Maybe Halb as a first class isn't a good idea if I can't get proper gears or mindset. Seriously. I just threw together a mage and tank just a while back, and have been doing soo much better. Though I should stop making weird builds and do a normal one for once. Even my mage and tank are far from the meta builds. Arcane Strike Mage ftw!

 

You pointed everything out already.

But if I got hacked or lost my account and start with 0 spina...
Ill be
1 hand + whatever sub (balance offense and defense, decent damage, decent survival rate)
or
1 hand tank (like you said)
or
A mage (naked guy with a staff can be deadly and can farm woods or rags to be rich)

Mage is cheapest class :3

Variety can come from sub-equip~
Shield, knuckle(fu), arrow(seen some) ..not sure if we can equip dagger..? If arrow is a yeah..l guess so is dagger?

Physical classes are more expensive, since your main priority is 100% Crit, then atk, n then more atk .-.) n survival in there if u want xD

Easiest would be 2h l guess , Carbuncle gives free 75 crit n with your base crit? Its easy 100~
Aside from that? Hell Reaper if u got one
Meteor n Buster offer a good dps n recovery :3

Then we got bow l guess..?
Cuz cf literally gives you 400k+ dmg even at low :3 n arrows help dealing elemental dmg

Ktn is suggested if you got modestia or Death..uh..that red shiny ktn lll l forgot the name of, cuz they offer 100 crit (Death ktn a healthy 4k+ hp)
But you need to time atks and have an understanding of skills :3
...n lots of unsheathe xtals/adds ...ahm!

Hlb is good dps but AMPR, survival n crit are main problems, so..a more luxury build? One that needs some investment unless you got hell reaper(hlb), ampr buff from land ?

DW? Again..crit, elemental subs, n your choice of boss :3
Lil expensive build l say..to each his own x3

Bow gun is..more helping towards tank than dps..bows are more preferred ~

Knuckles?
Interesting class but to reach potential n respectable dmg you need alot of investment in equips, xtals etc

1h, bowgun, knuckle are generally used as Tanks , but as dps? Need alot of investment n patience x’3

But go with whatever hold your interest :3
That takes ya further than most~

 

Mage,tank and cf
Mage can deal crapload of dmg even with low cost build
Assuming you know how to tank, you can tank sufficient boss with holy power of P.def
With enough crit and ele, Cf can also deal crapload of dmg (Placed in 3rd because critrate is kinda hard for starters+arrow need some farming)

 

people overlook 2h dunno why?
needs crit? no, just shaved ice hat plus crit up from battle skill tree is enough to achieve 100 crit ( use beserk skill for +50 crit)
making a str vit 2h char will get you through literally any boss heck you can even tank if the main tank somehow dies
Low budget equip:
-Lil empress 2h boss drop or npc drop( although 2h drop from new boss pyxtica is recommended) or a7cd7s7 player craft with 400 watk ( super nihello 3)
-literally any drop arm with hp, atk, str, ampr
lil emp garb npc craft, heaven feather garb drop or npc
-shaved ice hat if no crit from other gears else full beard ns
-500mp ring with tapir( even it's predecessor will work)

ampr stats from avas recommended, do those weekly emblems or events to get fairy sewing tool

 

From easiest to hardest in my opinion:
1. 1h/bg/knuckles + shield (be a tank and spam p.def to gain as much aggro as possible)
2. (1h/knuckles/bg) + sub (md/dagger) /2h
3. bow/bg + arrow (pure cf)
4. bow + katana (very good in term of survivability so as damage)
5. katana / dual sword (those classes are good at damage so as survivability but take a lot of time to master it)
6. mage (always sneak when you don't have any -aggro% buff)
7. halberd (hard af, low ampr, extremely rely on decoy/crit/gsw/brave aura, most expensive, low survivability).

For cheapest build: any lil empress gears, heaven feather/ assassin garb/ shaved ice head (critical +5) and machine ring with any xtals on it (you should have >90 crit with that build).

 

Tank definitely. Max MTL, slap some ailment resist, get a shield, pdef with decoy and start your day.

Bow/2h is second place. 2h is decent in everything, while bow can cut your cost in elemental gears by equipping arrows.

 

aside from tank and support, mage-finale>2hs>hb-dt is the cheapest class.
1. mage finale: high constant skill deal high damage even with low budget equip, doesn't need crit, sneak will cover aggro
2. 2hs: high weapon atk, berserk for crit and aspd, warcry/buster buff atk
3. hb-dt: highest weapon atk, dt +75 crit and 100% pierce, wcos for mp

 

Mage is cheap if you are willing to make a statter for yourself.
Otherwise, DW is good coz you can get berserk for it and not be affected by stab reduction if you pump stats to boost sub-sword damage.

 

Mage, simply cuz you can farm what you lack

 

Mage, cuz its versatile, it can farm mobs and bosses... building one also cost almost the same as building a tank...

 

If you start fresh from other class, at some point you will need to make a mage or luk halberd

 

You can go naked and still being able to tank
