you can tell that they're prepping 'triple thrust' to be useable with dual swords (dual katana?) in the future.

i don't think that's the case buddy, cuz this one skill from halberd skill tree also has a unique connection(?) with triple thrusts

Does that mean with power wave you can use cannon spear from a further distance

 

no i tried some of the skills like 'Rush' on knux and it doesnt get additional range from it

yeah that makes sense but keep in mind that some of the halberd skills are castable on 'one hand sword' which made them castable for dual wielding so it might also be useable for dual katanas in case dual katanas starts to exist

but then again its all speculation, i still feel like they need to give dual wielding extra skills since its pretty popular to newbies

 

Xiii mentioned triple thrust buff just for the sake of it. It doesnt mean triple thrust will be available by dw or that dual katana will be possible. I personally think it will not

It works on all skills. All you need to do is use triple thrust on a mob and kill it then change weapon and use the respective skill.
You wouldn't speculate it if it was never mentioned
