Which of the Non standard Luk Chars is best?

Honestly I don’t understand what this means.

Someone already did some testing several months ago on several kinds of weapons for luk chars to see which one is the best:

There's a post by @marysu showing vids of sonic blade 2h, bowgun-md cf, finale, etc. in action and how many mobs they managed to kill in 2 mins 30~ secs, not sure if they tried knuckle-md luk yet though, haven't seen any videos of it in action yet, but the result that they arrived at was luk halberd was the most efficient, and sonic blade was a close second, I think sonic blade is especially useful in very long corridors like the corridor comraby is at underneath shampy, considering it has 20 meter range

 

Sad that Knuckle - MD was overlooked

 

In future people will love/suddenly rushing to build knuckle since crusher will be on knuckle. Maybe at that time, people will expand the variety of knuckle build and people might acknowledge it better.

 

We'll see if it upgrades knucks as a farming character.

I have yet to run into another Knuck MD Luck Farmer.


Chariot + Toygun or Tonfa for big bosses
Chariot For Corridors
GSW + Earth Bind for enclosed spaces

Resonance + Earthbind work really well together.

Right now, I clear Usami and Usakichi within 10 seconds + another 15 seconds worth of maximizer and animation time.

 

Why not make a video to show the potential of it. So that other's can view if it's got potential or not. Only way to really spread awareness of the idea.

 

You know, since we're close to capping 2 stats now you could make a dedicated LUK/TEC char that could handle all ur synth needs, and luk refines, and even win big in any statting gambles due to all that luck. Purely production only (abuse reset periods, mq and adventure diaries to level this char), conveniently killing a few (production) birds with one stone, and you dont have to bother holding/allocating sp for battle skills at all.


...And then after stewing on it for a while, you realize the idea was dead from the start

 

With my dw using spin slash and no luk at all at bubble angel I farm mats faster than my halberd luk and luk mage by quite a long shot, can't imagine how fast it wud be if I incorporated luk stat into a build with this skill.
This is bcoz I don't have to use any skill to charge my mp , I basically auto attack twice after spin slash and my mp is back then spin slash again, spam spam spam auto spam spam spam and the knock back one shots most mobs and spin slash can be spammed very very fast while still sustaining mp.
It is really good in certain spots, smaller confined spots like bubble angel but in more open areas like plant machina then yeah my storm wins.
I'll just say when farming a specific mob you should try one shot it, I've found the drop rate is better if the mob is one shotted regardless of luk stat, ofc luk guna boost that but one should try focus on one shotting the mob they farm, there's a noticable difference drop rate, just something I noticed.

 

the drop rate remains the same, but the killing speed increases resulting in more drop chances.

 

Does anyone use Binding Strike as a farm skill? It’s cheap, strong and big af.

 

2H sword has a good leg up on farm speed because of this.

Sonic for corridors and binding strike for small areas.

ampr is the only issue would be solved by using wcos.

can also go 1h md to just maximize

 

Luk bg/md FTW. Why?

• You can quick-scope kill any mob (charge1/5 is more than enough damage)
• You can no-scope every mob behind it
• Maximizer to fully recover mp easily/quickly
• CF spam works everywhere, but obv less effective than others for small area farms (i have a hb luk char for that too )
• Can comfortably double as a standard CF build by switching to bow+arrow for regular boss grinds

Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't that the same case for every other AOE skill in this game?

 

dunno about hb dive, but storm just fine on non-flat terrain

 

Anyone character to farmer need luck stat and all depends of each one. Lenwok like his bg+md, its ok for him. Other people in the same case prefer 1h+md or other.
In my case, i think that a character luk have any aoe skill and fast mp charge but in the other hand depends if this luk farmer is famous or no. HB luk increased their users for youtube.

Now, is comming the wizard skills with blizzard that is a aoe skill like storm and maybe the luk mage will increase their users for this.

Well said, this is a game with a lot of build freedoms.

More ppl should watch my YouTube video.

And maybe a LUK+TEC build could be viable after all, once wizard skills are released
