Why is my DW still die fast and weak, help!!

I am a dual swords player, but i want to ask how did you guys obtain those high damage and hp? I am lvl 80 and my hp is only 700 and my damage is only around 600, and the others who have lower level than I have, they have higher Hp and higher atk, i feel like a total noob playing this character, any tips to become stronger ? (I'm new to the game, I don't have good eq where everyone carry their second char with pro eq or something else, I'm totally unfunded and I get all my items from blacksmith, events, mobs and bosses, not from someone else or another char.)

 

Refine your equipment, get HP Boost skill (in survival skill). Even if you dont do much damage still, you'll have at least 2k hp or so.

You can probably buy cheaper outdated equipment on board. The only way to get stronger is to farm spina and get better equipment.
In terms of ATK (and subsequently damage), maxing Dual Sword Mastery, Dual Sword Control (both from DW tree), Sword Mastery (from Sword skills tree) should increase your ATK by a bit if you haven't done this yet.

 

It feels like you answered your question yourself. If you lv up a char to t least lv.130 through the MQ, you can make a full tech statter, and start from there. That's how I slowly tried to amass better weapons.

 

Use mercenary, dodge everything

 

get the HP Boost skill from Survival Skills. it costs 15 skill points and increases maxHP by 1000.

should be good enough.

although DS requires lots of passive skills.
you should max Dual Wield Mastery and Dual Sword Control to negate the innate penalties and boost your aspd.
then Blade Mastery for your main hand and Godspeed for your sub hand. (this will also boost your unsheathe attack multiplier)

lastly, keep in mind that the DS's power comes from using 2 swords to double the hits.
Blade Skills only use your main hand sword, and because of DS's altered stat growth it will be weaker than regular 1h sword users. so get your attack skills from the DS tree.

everything else is a matter of stat points.
DS requires 3 stats (DEX, AGI, STR) to reach it's full potential, while other weapons need just 2 (or 1 for Bowgun), so the power growth of DS is slower.

 

But the boss always target me instead of my mercenary, does aggro work here?

I'm getting killed by bosses during MQ even with mercenary, that's why I wanted to get stronger to continue my MQ.

 

Even in easy mode?
For equipment, try to get ohs IX from cb (the clean one since you'll only want the raw attack) and refine it to +8 or +9. Another high attack ohs works too. For Addgear, try to get Stingy Shoulder Pads or protector headband for extra 1k hp. Don't forget to lvl your combo point

 

You will need high crt rate,atck for you main sword. You can get it via two source. one of them via venena (lil empress sword dropped from venena) and another one is Shotel from Wolfret (location at new map).Both of them has 25 crt rate. Btw, if you have a guild/in a guild better ask tech bs to fill stats any medicore equipment. The stats range will be broad. You just need to farm summer shell and send it to statter. Its easy to get op statted equipment in summer. About the survivabilit, if you dont have hp xtal (roga/ico/orn etc), just put 30 vit or rely on friend/guild member hp food buff (level 7 = 3.2kof hp for 12 hours). If you want, i can fill stats for you but you will need to farm the mana. You can use stats calculator as a reference. And welcome to toram ^_^

 

When you initiate battle, you generate 200 aggro, you then must do absolutely nothing to the boss. Attacker mercenary generate 10 aggro per successful hit so it should eventually gain the aggro

 

Use a Tank merc then. You gain 200 aggro every time aggro switches onto you, 1 auto atk = 10 aggro and each skill is equal to its MP cost in aggro. You can reduce the latter 2 using -aggro gear, buffs and food.

Defensive mercs gain 150 aggro per hit when theyre not holding aggro, and 50 when they are (source: mayam-sama). Gotta count your aggro carefully!

 

If "New Member" did not tip you off, the 700 HP should have.
-In NW Sofya there is Saltue Beach Event. 2000 HP Yukata II and 1000 HP Potum Mask are free and will take 5+ minutes to collect. Guessing event's Firestick will be a sight better 1HS.
-Main Quest fights can be fled from, returned to, and fought on Easy Difficulty (also free).

PS: Those overpowered, low level characters are likely 2nd (3rd, 4th...10th) characters. They benefit from emblems earned. Also possibly custom gear, refinement, 4th level skills, or maybe just a better grasp of game mechanics- all things that comes with time played. Doesn't mean you're doing anything wrong. Keep having fun and don't be discouraged.

 

Right now it's 4th anniversary event and summer isn't it? Or is it the portal near the fisherman in Sofya?

 

there are 2 portals:
the one at the wall leads to the Anniversary Arena, the one at Forf's Boat leads to Saltau's Beach.

when you hold the "action" button, the target list will show up.
this lists all active mobs and players around you, and all NPCs and portals on the map.
selecting a target from the list, will make your character face that direction, so you will know where to find it.
