Did anyone notice that refining to +B is easier when we are at our own land?
    or is it just me?

    pure coincidence.
the performance speed is better at less crowded places, but the rest is all RNG.

our memory is very selective, remembering failure better than success, which is why we often percieve randomness as not in our favour.
connections to things that are important to us can alter memory perception, so performing the same randomness event with the same results at your favourite place may leave a more positive impression even though the outcome was the same.

What Red_Fox said is very accurate but I want to add to it. Additionally, random is not as random as you think. Like the birthday paradox, and especially with software, what we'd expect as "random" is quite unlikely. It's very common to have duplicates, and in this case the duplicate happened to be +B refining. Intervals between duplicates tend to be shorter than we expect and this contributes to our cognitive bias because our brain is always trying to find patterns, even when there are none.
