this is actually pretty good. it might be safe to say this is only worth it if you haven't stat your weapon or gear yet with no crysta slotted and you go with refining first.

that why you don't stat it nor add crysta. you do it after you see it doesnt break from this. Though if it was a 2 slot or maybe a super high end damage weapon then yeah i wouldnt gamble. but if its a typical one where its pretty easy to duplicate. I don't see the hurt in doing so especially if you craft it yourself.

DO NOT GAMBLE YOUR EXPENSIVE GEAR AWAY. I had a O.Staff @56+10 int4%matk4% (DemonGate) trying to go to +11 with fine ori and hyper hammer. It said i only had a risk of 5 total. Wasnt too bad. So i went for it. It failed and i lost my staff. Trying to increase it's value by 1m wasnt worth losing my best staff. I loterally was so upset i almost quit the game. But im used to failures and thanks to @firefox1981 convincing me not to quit im still here. Messed up game. Dont gamble. Unless you dont care about your equip amd want to make a profit. But dont be upset if you not only fail refine, but break your equip.

 

As i said. Gears with NO STATS or CRYSTA SLOTTED. if you lost it in this situation it wouldn't have been bad. if you have already one with stats and slotted crysta dont even bother gambling unless you know the consequences. this method isn't for everyone. If your a big risk taker though, luck may reward those who attempted.

 

I managed to get my 2s rod with up to S with the help of magic hammer. It's a great item.

 

now that you mention it. the hammer might be the only way to go beyond a certain refine level that we currently have at the best playing it safe.
