You Do Not Need Player Crafted Gear To Be Op

Brawlers really suits the stats of npc crafted gears but mages are mostly player crafted dependent.

 

What both Aya and boxy said is all there is to it. Player crafted has higher DPS an let's people buy different apps for the gear while NPC crafted is better for Utility and Survival ^.^

So how do we define OP? That's the real question now. I think we can all agree that as long as the gear works best for your build and the situation your in to comfortably succeed. May that be mixed gear, full npc, or whatever, if it works for you to succeed at your best, use it. Especially since we've got a ton of good NPC gear now.

Thinking on it now. I agree. Mages do have some pretty nifty NPC/Boss gear though. Just no reason to have tons of cast speed currently.

Ever since lvl100 cap came with the new smith skills npc/drop gears dont stand a chance in terms of dps from player crafted stuff.
I still remember back in the days lvl95 cap and the outerworld armor dropped by nure was the best armor for mages.
The small minority of staff fu trying to compete against the sniper wave during lvl80 cap were able to pull it off even if barely by using ooze armor drop and mod drop.
Of course some drop weapons are still useful in terms of DPS to this day a honorable mention would be bkod sword and its +25% to neutral dmg (a stat exculsive to drop/npc stats) with high refine and xta can out perform player crafted sword for neutral ele bosses like td/roga.

Arms to a certain degree could be tolerated but not on staff who virtually gives you up to +15% more dmg as compare to normal npc crafted.

 

well, so if you don't want to use player crafted equipment.... go non-DPS

 

I use boss drops, what you mean?
Hero Scarf dropped from a boss, Brig Helm from a boss, Inza Cape... Oh you mean armor and weaps.

 

The only build that are better with npc gear is tank.
No need player crafted gear at all to be a good decent tank.

There are some npc / boss dropped gear that sometimes aligned with your dps build
E.g(roga mod staff, spoon staff, revolver bg, bb arm, ooze arm) but when new weapon/arm came out. They became less useful. Despite theyre untradeable tho.

Dude you're just asking to get slammed.
And thats coming from the guy who'd start flames constantly last year.

 

DPS build should get a yolo set where all stuffs are meant to increase your dps toon max potential to its fullest. Players with dps toon will feel much satisfaction on every progress they made with this kind of build. Just need to be with a pure tank as well coz this build might be a disadvantage if you dont know how to choose right party members and thats why you have a guild that will help shape each members so that party be more effective in all mobs/boss grind.

 

• I am only using boss type equipment and I also normally get breaker and tank rank altought cought* using lv 60 . Well all people switch between boss and player craft eq depends on what boss they will farm and want to fight.
• And combo also. Not all used only 1 combo type. Each situation differ abit.
• And not everyone builds char following the builds guide everyone have their pen taste
• And i am sometimes PISS when people ask lv and kick me without cheking my skills and the one already knew they will add me regardless i am using low lv

 

Boss drop is not bad. But it's not gonna make u op. It's balanced and has good survivalbility.

 

Well if you dont contribute anything to make the run faster then it is justified.
Though in my case I dont mind that much as long as they dont mp charge that long between boss fights and also contributes in breaking parts.
