Blacksmith Basics--Lvl125 Cap

I would go 250 Dex and the rest in tech or something else. The reason being is that dex+ from gears and xtals will not give you more pot in your gears.

 

Okay I didn't knew that . Thanks for info . Actually it was a dps chara which I changed to bs now. Will it have a huge effect though

 

As long as you have the required skills you have for the bs, you should be fine. I've switched from a dps to a bs multiple times. You keep the prof level for both bs and syth as long as you don't delete the character.

I haven’t tested this personally yet but Agi 250 rest dex for max pot katana.

As always, wear dex/str gears for higher difficulty and success rate boost.

 

What Koko said is right or you can do 250 Dex rest Agi for better combat skill and an easier time leveling as well as still getting max potential.

 

Well tbh the main thing I need high attack,how do i get that?

 

If you mean actually dealing damage instead of on the katana itself being crafted than do what I said, 250 Dex rest Agi but if you mean on the Katana itself while crafting raise your prof and keep crafting the highest level katana cause there's really no way to increase katana Atk directly since the atk is determined by rng and if the craft is successful or a failure ^^

 

Damn. well I have to waste 15M for makeing a katana bs.

Hi i have a question abt BS
My BS have 255dex and 78str, when i craft lowest diff katana i got +13pot, and +17pot when i craft lowest diff bow, but when i craft levebow or kuro katana i got 2more pot, like +15pot for katana and +19 pot for bow, anyone know where that +2 pot come from?
My char lvl150 btw, ty^^

 

Well I am lvl 150 too and my total stat points are 398, so first aleast achieve em cause they are damn easy.and second thing before makeing bs u have to first read a guild carefully cause the one thing in every bs guide common is that primary weapon 10 stats- 1 pot and secondary weapon 20 stats-1 pot,soooo never ever do Dex or anyother stat 255 in case of bs.Cause like this u waste ur 5 SP and got no pots at all.
On the other hand some weapons have fix pots means u can't get more pots then the fix ones like in case of armor adv grab have fix pots that are 36 or 34 dunno,no matter what u use or do,the pots never increase cause it's a low lvl armor and mats are easy to find, easy to farm and cheap.
NOW U understand why the hell everyone buying York paper memo why don't they make adv grab 1000 time in a day and got 2 slot.lol

 

With both Creation skills level 10 you get +10% of base potential so for the Katana you're actually only getting 12 pot from Dex the other 1 pot for 13 on lowest Katana and 3 pot for 15 on highest Katana are from your blacksmith Creation skills. ^^

 

Ah ty somuch, i just reset my stat and make it 242dex, 78agi, 78str, now my bs can make bow, 1hs and katana with atleast 50 pot^^

 

I saw a comment that says tec decreases the potential you gain from crafting gears but increases the potential you gain from adding negative stats when statting. Can't find where I saw that still looking for it. Anyway is it true? That the potential you gain from crafting will decrease, if you are using tec as your secondary stat?

 

I don’t know where you read that from but it’s not true in the sense that you’re //wording it. Tech doesn’t provide any potential to crafted gears in itself. It solely affects the difficulty level: more tech = more diff = higher level craft ability.

Potential on gears are gained by using main stats like str, dex etc. Once you max out a main stat (250) you can add tech to increase the difficulty level and therefore certain success rate of crafting. It won’t diminish the potential you are already gaining by the main stat point or your skills.

Tech does increase potential gain when statting negatives yes. Statting with a non-tech chara will result in poor potential regains on negatives.

 

My question to you is: why 242 dex?

You gain 1pot per 10pts of a main stat. The excess 2 points are better off spent on either the 78agi or str to get 80 & round it out for another potential point on those secondary gears you’re making.
