May I ask about equipments for "other smiths"?
Why they need STR stats in staff & armor? Why not VIT for armor bs, INT for staff bs, or just DEX+12% for increasing diff further more?
    Thanks!

The equipment you wear effects the craft success rate with Dex and Str it does not effect the potential of the equipment you craft only your actual stats effect the equipment potential so the equipment is just for increasing your difficulty level further nothing more.

Thank for clarifying this point. However I think only TEC & DEX can increase diff. So should every bs just wear full DEX equips (like the DEX bs)? What is the role of STR stat in equips?

It was mentioned about testing in an earlier post of this thread verifying that 10 Str equals 1% success rate and yes all blacksmiths should wear full Dex gear not just the Dex bs. The Str is optional.

There is literally nothing you can do to improve your chances at getting a slot or two slots. It is pure RNG chance.

I don't see anything wrong there. It never hurts to level up your proficiency, but that won't help you get slots.

This is *mostly* true, but for people who really like to play all their characters in combat, consider these exceptions:
    • a DEX/STR bs can use a one-handed sword or dual-wield, and a dw build based on spinning is sp-friendly
    • an INT/TEC bs is fine as a farming mage, all you need is Storm and Drop Rate Up
    • a VIT/TEC bs can equip a shield plus Drills knuckles (or Toy Hammer 1h) and become a fun do-no-damage tank. Not a solo char, zero dps, and not quite as good as a VIT/Mental pure tank, but still quite entertaining if you like soak-tanking and disrupting.

If I were to make a Halberd BS its gonna be 240 STR and other AGI. Any other tips for this type of BS?

Just curious, I want to ask about stater bs here because fail to find a complete guide.
Usually full TEC and after that DEX for stater right?
And does prof affect success rate when filling stats? If yes, do we need prof lvl90?
(I see some stats formulations have success rate like 100%, 84%,...)

Yes for adding stats you max Tech first then put the rest of your points in Dex and no you don't need any proficiency for adding stats but adding different stats does require a different amount of potential for each customization so the success rate will not be 100% unless the weapon or armor you add the stats to has enough potential to add the desired stats. Also Wyrix's stat formula guide actually explains everything you need for adding stats on the first post of the first page in the game guides section ^^

You're welcome. That's what most players including myself do, make their alchemist a hybrid character that can add stats and refine as well ^^

Hi, just like to ask some question, I have a BS Dex character and currently crafting different type of bowgun, I have 250 dex in stat to be able to get the capped pot while creating it and succeed on it, but the thing is, I was able to craft high pot bg but low in base attack, any suggestions how can I raise the attack of the BGs I craft???

Attack stat is based off how strong the equipment is by default and if your craft has a failed broken anvil or a successful anvil where light goes across the top of the anvil instead of it breaking while crafting, so only way to craft higher attack is to raise your proficiency an craft stronger bowguns. Our stats only effect the potential they do not effect the attack of the equipment

For bows but not bowguns, STR helps raise the potential of the item.

However, @elcent asked about attack power... and there is literally nothing a smith can do to raise the attack power of their successful weapons, that is pure RNG chance based on the item's base stats.

I'd say remaining stats on TEC if you only wanna craft bows.
