Guide: Full LUK(255) Refiner + Farming Mage

Thanks for this useful guide . I have a few questions in my mind with this
1) What's the different with LUK and TEC in refinement? The success and failed rate from 0 to +S ?
2) I have a LUK+Int mage like yours , but i not sure whether to be a refiner or stater ?

 

1) Tec: increase success rate of refining | luk reduce degradation chances when refining
when it comes to +A & +S refining with tech its success percentage is 6% and 1% and with luk success percentage is 1%
2) for filling stat u need tech u cant do it with luk.so only option is to become refiner not stater

 

Thanks for the info. I think I'm gonna stick back to his LUK+refiner build then . One more qeustion, about refiner, if i failed to refine will i lose my weapon?

 

Nope. It may degrade (losing the refinement value) tho.
For non slot, it may degrade 1 lv
For 1 slot, it may degrade 1-2 lv
For 2 slot, it may degrade 1-3 lv

The degradation occurement itself can be reduced by using item (such as anti-degradation) or by investing LUK stat.

It is a pity that we cannot invest both on tec and luk

 

Is the carp hat usable at this build? It got+10% drop rate boost and also the 2 xtals king potum and the grand pojo. 12% maybe not so big but since this is a full luck (as my dad used to say "a small part of sumthing big, is still huge af!")

 

I believe that carp hat effect had been nullified by the end of golden week event.

 

yup it is.before crap hat I was using mining bag+pojo xtal and king potum xtal and now using crap hat it is better than mining bag

With the carp hat that's like 45.5% drop rate up WOOT

 

Actually, thats 47.5% drop rate max if you include the xtals. Then again if i were to choose between +6 int and +2% droprate i choose +6 int first then switch to +2% droprate once i capped and upgraded my gears to +S. Its the most logical way since +3 int is cheap and no issue if it get junked later.

Oh, I also forget about the xtals since this mage is suppose to be a 'cheap' character until I have more spinas to invest in gear and more time to farm.
Also I think +S for weapon should be enough, since refine for armour increase p.resist & m.resist if i recall correctly. Correct me if i am wrong.

On another note, I was wondering if I could use this mage for boss farming.

 

i wish they dont remove 10% drop rate it is really good.ill never go for +A or +S just for farming mage they r very expensive and spending that much on farming mage not a good choice .farming mage should not be so expensive like other warrior class.in last u need pt with good member for farming

 

+A price is near 3M-4M or above not sure.and +S is not enough it is more than enough and expensive too .if it is cheap make my weapon +S plz

 

Boss farming on this one requires a char slot in party an op agile pet and of course running shoes. Then again farm mages is the best friend of production class, you basically get more in less time. I agree that i also consider mages as "cheap" since you only have to focus on your weapon and cant expect more on def. Best bet is to try my luck on hema since imma be farming loads of em anyway on icule lake(or hp iron since i have a lvl100 alc too) farming mino is another story since i usually farm as a one man party (partner+merc+pet. Yah, i feel lonely too) or with a guild mate for more rare item chance (and having a guildie as a party mate have less chance that you get booted out of the party)

 

Good guide but i would keep impact at 10 for the reason of we lack int (DMG) .. but overall nice

 

As i remember its +20% droprate event on top of that 10% droprate carp hat that they remove( at least i hope so) that was the descrpt said on the update. Plus since this is also an upgrader it is best that you try your luck (since this build are full of it *drumroll*) it is best to invest or at least upgrade a good elemental weapon since this build clearly lack a forte for damage and since our forte is on upgrade it is only sensible to go with that.

 

Let's party together lol when you are farming mino skins usually I let my luk Mage be a leecher there and cast a support skill to get rank. too many dps there trying to steal rank lol and they don't really care.

As for hem and dam ore usually I just buy them

+S is around 7 mil I think. I haven't really tested out refining on my luk Mage until I have enough anti-degra lol.

 

How did you calculate 35.5% drop rate?

 

lol 7m is not cheap farming mage should be cheap .and ive calculated total matk stat:- int:66 and equip u told(cheapest) and md atk 50 when ur MD is
+B=826 matk
+A=845 matk
+S=866 matk
+B=1M, +A=4M, +S=7M expensive . i think 800+ matk is enough for Nightmare roar its hp is around 2.3k-2.5k plus u have 45% dmg to dark it can sure kill roars in 1hit .and plus u r using smited storm.
