HELP

    So I am currently a mage char at lvl 61, and I have no idea what I am doing. I need help getting stronger and I'm not sure if the problem is with my gear or my stats or my skills. So I'm just gonna give info on my char and I hope you guys can help.
    My info:
    Stats: my stats are pure int (153)
    Gear: aqua garb (33 def), water staff (37 def), iron shield (7 def)
    Skills:
    I don't have a personal stat yet
    -lvl 2 magic, I've maxed out everything but chain cast (5), lances (6), blast (6)
    -lvl 2 survival, safe rest (5), hp boost (max), short rest (3)
    -lvl 1 priest, bless (1)

    Hmmm... Most shield mage only max tier3 magic: Storm, others also max their Magic: Arrow and MP Charge.... And impact to lvl7

    To have extra points to spare for utility skills such as shield cannon and sanctuary...

    Why you got low dmg?
    Gonna struke blunt its a mixture of all 3... Low lvl resulting to low stats, weak gear, and bad skill allocation..

    Oh wow thank you for replying!! I don't really plan on being a sheild mage I just kind of got one as a drop and decided to stick with it. Do you have any idea on how to make my char better? Or should I scrap it and start over?

    Don't scrap it for now... Such a waste with all the effort you did lvling it up

    If your willing to, buy or farm any magic device then grind b.nuts up to 70, or grind mq whichever you prefer...

    After that you can freely create a new mage and a farm mage on the next 2 free char slots available... you can scrap it afterwards

    As for mage builds there are lots of good builds here at mage section:
