Hey Precaria, I decided to make an account to ask a question concerning the Knuckle class, specifically. I understand that the guide here is meant for players who have reached the end-game, but then that leaves the rest of us poor souls who have either only just started or don't know how to get to the end game. Is it possible that you could make a guide on how to start from scratch as a Knuckles user, starting with no awarded Skill Points or Stat Points?

The reason why I ask of such a request is because there are a number of players who quit the game early, simply because they see these guides that are tailored only for end-game players. If we bring more players up to the end-game, however, I believe there will be room for more exploration in what we consider the meta now, as each person can offer valuable input based on their experiences and knowledge about the game; new and amazing hybrids can be brought about, and finally players of all levels can have a chance at achieving some degree of success in the game.

 

Hello, you made an account just to seek advice from me and that alone honours me. The builds I publish indeed are for the advanced echelon of players since I'm constantly trying to push the meta with every update. However, I can resume some tips for you.

First of all, how to play Knuckle? Well, knuckle's corresponding stat is AGI. You get a lot of benefits by using it, just like STR for swords and DEX for ranged weapons. This build, however, doesn't use AGI, instead focuses on being a reliable very high HP monolithic tank. If you're just starting you might find easier to play as an AGI brawler instead of VIT because the starting bosses don't require much HP. If you don't want to reset in the future or definitely want to play as a full tank from the start then just assign points to VIT, no AGI.

Focus on the storyline quests as they give you enough experience to reach at least Lv25 before it starts becoming harder. If you have a free character slot for a Mage, I recommend making a farmer mage to collect Nisel Wood and Bitter Nuts and trade them to Yunis and Zono for EXP with your brawler. This game is more about farming materials for the NPC side quests to get experience rather than farming the mobs for experience, so you choose with which character to get the EXP. If you want spina, find a party at Minotaur and tank for them, don't let them ditch you due to being lower level. A good tank is useful since low levels. Collect Minotaur Skin, trade them to Lefina for Anti-Degradation and sell them for 7k the piece. You can make tons of spina this way and it's so easy, it just takes dedication (time farming Mino). It's the perfect way to get $ with your tank. As soon as you get level 40-45 get some friends and hunt Moonlight Potum. It drops DRILLS, the holy knuckles you need as a tank. With Drills you'll deal 1 damage per hit, but your attacks never miss, this assures you to keep aggro from the rest of the players for example at Nightmare bosses which dodge physical hits more than they take hits.

A good boss to level up your tank and make profit is Grass Dragon Yelb. But to reach it you need to have completed a lot of your main quest. So focus on the quest until you get there. Yelb is super easy to tank as it barely moves from its place and is easy to interrupt with your delightful brawler skills like Sonic Wave and Smash, or Shield Bash if you're already using your shield in your combos. It drops Grass Dragon Petal. It is an uncommon material but the EXP you get while farming it is worth and you can sell them for 10k per piece. Doing this you might want to start upgrading your equipment, starting with your armor to the recommended armor I have in the original post. By this time you should be already using the Magician's Ring. Use this site: http://toramdb.online-ga.me/ for every item, recipe, location of monsters or gear stats you need to know about. Save it on your favorites because you'll use it a lot. I hope my answer is useful for you and anyone else who is starting and my build serves you right when you reach that high level point of the game.

So did some test over my day off and found that hp recovery % from Safe Rest does affect the regerated amount recovered.

Other stuff I found.

• Hp % recovery from equipment also affects this and -hp % recovery decreases the value.
• The HP % recovery percentage is applied at the end of the formula and rounds up from what i've seen (Ie. 5 hp tick 1.34 (134%) regen = 6.7 hp and will round up to 7 hp per tick. (134% from Safe Rest lvl 10 (100% regen) , Ooze Shield (10% regen), Aromatic Bangle (10% regen), Soda Swimsuit (5% regen), and Traveler's Cape (9% regen).
• Higher HP does affect the ticks quite substantially but even more so with more HP % regeneration.
  
• Testing around with Feather Cape (-50 % HP regen) and Lvl 10 safe rest (100% regen) would cut the regened tick value in half. So it seems to really need Safe Rest to get it's full starting value.

Anyway, take these with a grain of salt. If you get the chance to test these out yourself, please do.

Not just with your build but with any tank possible...
Was wondering if it is worthed...im saving up sp...just in case...i cant seem to find someone testing it...but they say it makes the dmg 10 or less...but ineffective to lethal dmg...

Thats for opening combo or every time i need sanctuary and to be followed up by
Hardhit/holyfist>ragesword(save)>shieldbash(swift)>astute(swift)>trigger(cons) for spam...

I had a personal Sanctuary combo. Short, due to the time required for Sanctuary to be casted.
Sonic Wave > Sanctuary (save) > Shield Cannon (smite) [100 MP]
As it is long ranged and fast, you don't get flinched usually.
Then there's enough time to execute the combos with Shell Break and H. Smash various times before Sanctuary's aoe ends.

EDIT: Oh, you use sword... Well, replace the martial combos with your own sword combos.

And yes i use sword now...but i still use your build and i get alot of compliments when i use it in a party xD...
So i guess i should shorten my sanctuary combo huh...well ill try it then...sadly...there is no thumble skill for sword?...
