You can make more pot if you do 7 tech, you'll lose some success rates but if you get 1-2 more pots,
if you do 20 tech you get more success rate but you get 1-2 more pots

 

I also know toy had his vit bs at 15 tech.

 

In case u need more difficulty to bypass the 15 prof wall, just use full dex gear with dex xta. It will give u about 7-8 diff

 

That's up to you.
As per ease of lvling, 20.
For the extra 1 pot : 7
You can also make dex items to aid in higher temporary difficulty.

I will say that my guildies followed my lead on 20 tech and like it. The math behind it is sound and I got the idea for reading kime's guide. More than 20 is too much. Less wastes more crafts.

I put 2 tech or 12 tech to my bs. Then rest is the pots stat. For example my vit bs. It has 200 vit n 12 tech. So she gain 20 pots and 6 difficulty and 7 from dex dex gear

I didn't test this out when i was actively playing, hope someone will
(I temporarily stopped playing this game until the level cap is high enough or until the PVP is implemented)

I'm not sure about how much potential you can get from careful creation? is it:
a) 10% of total potential (base potential + potential from stats)
b) 10% of base potential
c) 10% of potential from stats

 

From my experience, it's 10% from base potential of the gear. When the gear has base pots below 20, only bonus 1 pots but if more than 20, it's give me 2 more pots.

if you need to gamble on elemental awakening, use Diff 50, and at least pot 41.

but if you want to maximize stat, go full stat BS.

tech is only for alchemist craft/refine/synth

some say there is a specific minimum tech to create crafted equip/weapons with slots, but we don't have formula to back up that claim or at least data that says tech influences your crafting chance to have slots on your gear.

IMO, slotted is random, it just that when u get a slotted one, will it a success craft or fail craft. And we know, tech increase success craft, so with higher tech, you will craft successful slotted one more often than lower tech.
