DPS Mage Guide - Level 80 Update in Progress

    Hi for add gear in terms of damage which is better circlet with decel or warhelm with decel???

    Circlet with Decel.

    Why? Because magical attacks cannot crit. Thus, War Helmet is useless.

    I have realize recently that refine armor or add gear won't give you def on the stat menu. Check it out. They said it will decrease damage, but anyone confirm this?
    my mage has lvl 10 magic up and mastery, I think I got about 90 matk for both of them on lvl 65.

    I believed this, that magic atk can't crit. But the weird thing is, when I used device, some of my wall atk is crit. I took ss, I will find the ss somewhere in my iPad and post here later.

    Oh, the weapon attack xD

    Up to you, really. Whatever gives you more MATK is better :3
    Not sure about refines for those gears, I'm focusing on my staff xP. So I have no idea if this can be confirmed.

    And 90 ATK for both Magic: Mastery and Magic UP seems about right.

    And if you can find your SS that shows a Magic Crit, then go right ahead. ^^ I've never seen any spell from a Mage crit, ever lol.

    Update!

    I decided to re-introduce the details of each skill mentioned in the guide since I'm too lazy to make a separate thread with Magic (and other) skill tree information, lol. However, I'm keeping other skills like Dagger, Shield, Knight, and other Priest skills out since they are not (particularly) important to the DPS Mage guide.

    New Level 3 Mage skills! I'm going to be testing these soon, but they all seem promising!

    Impact: (No limit) Attack enemies around you with a shock wave. Halves MP cost of the next skill. The effect will become weak if you consecutively use this skill. ~ MP 200

    Storm: (No limit) A magic to generate a storm. Enemies will be sucked into it. Strong monsters may not be sucked into it. ~ MP 400

    Power Wave: (No limit) Widens the range of normal attacks. You can attack from further than the weapon range. Reduces damage except Staffs and Magic Devices. ~Passive

    IMO That power wave is a joke? Normal atk mean non skill atk right?

    It could have been designed for agi magic device users who rely on normal attacks for mp recovery. :)

    IMO, they put it on magic skill tree by mistake. :D. How often we use normal atk in our mage life? We have mp charge for cover the mp. This skill should be for archer.

    IMPACT: is it visual bug or there is no any damage to it?> its a good skill to use before storm though...

    It should be put in archer. They has increase long range dm skill. Put power wave there will be more usefull IMO

    A fair amount of my guide has been rendered misguided (pun intended) by the Level 70 update, so I've been doing a lot of testing and research, (and currently leveling up my reset mage!) and I'm still testing and leveling. Not to mention many of the best equips are outdated as well, along with new ones to add to the equipment list...

    So, for now, my guide will sit as it is, and I'll get around to updating it within a week or less.

    But from what I have learned so far, I would recommend removing the Priest skill tree entriely, with the exception of Holy Fist if it is needed for combos, since it is no longer that effective in many situations, revitas are in good supply, and the 10 skill points are needed for other Mage skills.

    MP Boost is essential at this point. Magic combos are longer and more mana-intensive, so having a mana pool of 700-800 will no longer cut it. (Or use Magiadd potions if you prefer using them)

    Lastly, Wall is no longer the god of a spell it used to be, and you, as a mage, will have to be much more diverse with your spells, because basic combos are no longer blanket combos that work against every enemy.

    So, here's a quick skill rundown for the Magic Skill Tree.

    72 to 95/109 skill points, 196 INT at Level 70.

    Arrows: 10
    Javelin: 5
    Lances: 5 or 10
    Impact: 7 to 10

    Wall: 10 (still great, but not OP)
    Blast: 5 or 10
    Storm: 10

    Mastery: 10 (Gives 50-70 MATK at level 70)

    MP Charge: 10
    Chain Cast: 0, 5, or 10. (I recommend 5)
    Power Drive: 0

    Keep in mind you'll need 10 points for Magic UP and 15 points for Short Rest + MP Boost.

    Demon's Gate xtal (Red, +3% MATK, +2% DEX, +1 Cast Speed) should replace your xtal on your weapon. Soda Potum Hat is the equivalent to a Circlet in terms of MATK (MATK +1%), so looking kawaii while smiting enemies is even better now. :3

    only ups on staff gives an additional matk on stats
    hope this one helps
    magic mastery 10
    magic up 10
    concentrate 10
    those 3 helps boost your matk or magic atk
    you should also perform a physical attack befoe performing a magic skills/atks
    im just sharing some tips but not gonna tell everything its up to you now guys on how will you gonna do it..... that,s how i learned it..... for now im at lvl 67 no rare xtal or rare armors just simply m.xtal and water staff drops which deals 24k atk on volg by the way im nothing but a pure int..

    I use first n 2nd though I'm not using the 3rd. Is it increase the visual matk or only dm while battle?
    Right I remember I deal 25K atk when using water staff while using blast when I was 50-60. I'm forgot which lvl for exactly but it's long time ago. Maybe will try volg again soon n make water staff.

    So how about cast time between lvl 1 n next lvl impact? Still waiting for the info. T_T

    Let me guess, you don't have enough points for Level 7 Impact...

    It takes about 1 second at level 2, give or take. I didn't really pay attention to minor details for each and every skill, only mahor ones like Level 7 Impact etc.

    You can still get by with Level 1 or 2 Impact, but it won't be that effective speed-wise.

    I have 23 sp which I will put 10 to Storm. Unfortunately I haven't put any to jav or lance. So I will only have 3 more sp for Impact. T_T
