The issue isn't the damage of the skill, it's the radius of the third hit which would attract unwanted mobs, which is bad in mini boss leveling.

Consider that situation for a full INT magic device user. They get screwed regardless.

-2970 skill power is a lot to consider before taking into account stability, resistances and mob magic defense.

 

Ahh ok, didn't notice the radius increase in successive hits. Oh well, I don't main mages anyways. Sucks to be you guys

 

On another thought, this change is a rather good way to curb the issue of super EZ mass 1HKO farming on pretty much any mob in this game

I meant, wall-impact-finale-burst

 

1 second cast time with burst @ 1k cspd with that combo. Also, burst is a conical front facing AoE, finale is well, a portion of the map. You're still gonna have to deal with pissed off mobs.

Forgot how crappy burst is. I think it is much better to use lvl10 wall & storm just to hold them pissed off mobs. It is better than nothing i guess. Big issue will be mana and combo cycle tho specially since finale is much bigger than storm and wall is too small for staves.

 

how about :
impact > finale (smite) > wall (save) > storm (smite) > mp charge > maximizer > bless (consecutive).
Also change to target closest mobs in setting.

A self sufficient combo.

EDIT: NVM i'm dumb. this combo has no real use. For farming normal mobs, you don't get to execute the entire combo, and for mini boss, storm will surround the boss, not your mobs around you.

TBH after finale released, mages kinda missing on most minibosses farms due to it's ability to poke multiple minibosses/annoying mobs accidentally and might make it uncomfortable for the tank and many times, mage that will show on site are LUK mages. Many party prefer single target DPS and killing 1 boss at a time fast luring 1 to a safe spot.
But game got so many aoe DPS skills which can be utilized on minibosses grinds. The minibosses drops sucks as of now, but when new came with a drop that will really make a difference, DPS are always ready and can deliver the role I'm just not sure about their counter parts.

 

At least you could one shot the trash mobs, with this update, weak dps (even with full int) are gonna get some trouble with high HP mobs, especially at commander golem and super death.

Finale is the best mass killing mini bosses skill imo and mass killing became popular because of that skill. I don't think finale mage are missing on boss farming, some even want finale mage to be with them and also majority of the people who do mini bosses is to raise their levels and the rest are farming mats.

Single target is also good but it takes time. Who doesn't want multiple mini boss farming to begin with if the tank is capable and same goes to the mage.Tanks are not a rare sight nowadays but only FEW can actually play the role of a TANK(as long as the finale users can deal damage and not leeching then it will be fine. ) Some people who plays tank shouts "masskill tank here need finale" and the irony is those type of tanks can't even do well and can't keep the aggro.(MOST)

 

The saddest thing here is we only have 1 day left to enjoy mass farming with finale. Haha and after the update " no finale please"

Yes, they are being worked on right now. They will add 3 more sets of additional shortcuts (to 5 shortcut sets we have at the moment) and two more shortcut buttons onscreen, increasing onscreen shortcut buttons to 6. The latter two shortcut buttons are for avoid and guard buttons.
