How did YOU join/get into your guild?

Mine is sort of funny. While I was in another guild, they were always super quiet so I would spend my time in the shout chat by the NS while folks farmed both ns and gs. One day I saw a few folks arguing about who the best tank was in the game, one of them being firefox and the other being VIT. Haha, the next day I saw firefox in chat again and messaged him up. Funny story! I thought fox was a girl at first! It took me like 2 weeks to realize my guild leader was a guy! I'm such a clutz..

How did you come to be in your guild?!

 

Aight so this is how the potum guild was made, first I came into the game with 6 other people (they all quit), we were supposed to name it "MagicalSquidFactory" but it was too long so we chose "Potum" instead because it was cute. So anyways once I made it with them, i recruited randoms to hit lvl 10 in guild levels, once I did I kicked them cause I knew they could find a guild that was more active then us. Once the other 6 people quit I recruited @ASURA then I started getting serious about recruiting for guilds since I wanted ASURA to have fun. Then Libra and @Maylu came along the line, they were awesome people too, active and everything. Then @thelock came and we had a group of small active people. So long after that I met @Azeazll and I remember threatening him to take my white C that he really wanted. He didn't want to because he thought it wasn't fair and I should get something in return, so I threatened to discard it and that's when he took it lol. Good times. The guild moves on and new players come in and go, it was a great time in the old days where there were only a few guild members, because we all trusted each other and had fun.

 

And then Toy came along and said "I'm joining Potum" and in short I self invited myself to Potum!

I've been in my guild forever. I first joined a guild shortly after beating volg for the first time(Those were the days). I was shouting in soyfa that I wanted to join a guild. I got a few offers but went with the first guy who invited me. His name was arcanist (I later heard he died from Cancer :/ ) After that time just blew by. My guild taught me about the game. We RP'd every once in a while. Had guild parties in the bar. Our gm even has an on going guild comic! At one point I left to join Devils Advocate. That's where I finished up my studies in a way. There were many alpha players there and they taught me a lot. After that I returned to my old guild as a vice guild master. Since then we've reached floor 1,000 in the maze, farmed many xtals, made smiths of every type, and made our own kik group.

 

My friend was a very outgoing person and managed to join "Dragonheart", a guild with exceptionally friendly people from all over the world. I got an invite so the two of us could play together with our newfound friends.

This story may not sound interesting, but it gives me a warm feeling when I think about it x.x

 

I don't really have any sort of funny or motivational story.

I was in a guild beforehand called "Rose Warriors". It was a fun small guild but our GM was sorta sickly so she had a vice-leader do most of the management. Anyway, I was the only "adult" there, age-wise. Everyone else was a teenager which was ok, I suppose, until a lot of immaturity began to surface and there was a lot of clashing and attention seeking people..which wasn't so cool. So, even if it was hard to leave the better members behind, I left and started my own guild. Got it to level 10 on my own before I slowly started inviting people~which was a total failure. I would get a couple good members but they were looking for larger more active guilds~ which I couldn't provide cause I was seeking quality over quantity. Eventually I gave in and started shout recruiting and, to my surprise, I landed some really good natured people. ^^

It's been quite the ride though.

all the guilds I joined in was left out for the crows, yeap dead, at least for me. First guild: Guildmaster quits game, remaining members regrouped and joined another guild. Second guild: Leader quits being leader -_-, made a new account and trying to sell his GM account, that's bull****, I left. the end lol. ah and former guildmates made their own guilds but some stayed. Guildless atm, I made a hut beside volg, haven't left fiery mountains since I left the guild, 5days ago(did leave the mountain actually just to sell some stuffs )

I was farming the eerie with this person trying to get dat eerie xtal, then she invited me to her guild. But the guild kinda died so i left to make my own guild :3

I jumped from guild to guild for a while but they were all pretty much abandoned then i thought of being alone in a guild but seeing so many ppl complain about rakau bothered me so I decided to try and make a guild to lighten the load on rakau with the ppl i thought were interesting since i was one of the few who probly started that lol(my bad) and were a big happy family now^^ we are the REVENANT ANGLES

 

Mine started cus i was really curious of how a guild bar looks like, so i had a friend and we levelled the guild up to 10 together. This was during late beta stages, i dint really thought of inviting people into the guild because being a GM is not as easy as one thinks. But after a while i met a few awesome people and decided to invite them in. My officers were pretty solid @BlaCk @Sonica @Miza and @Kaylah. But sadly, as soon as irl stuff kicked in, everyone just fell out. We had a good run and i really really REAAAAAAAAALLLY miss all of them. RIP RELENTLESS.
but now im in BkF and it's pretty good so far.

 

When Sollux created the game, he invited me to be leader of the Red Team. But I stepped down so Karkat could take my place and stop complaining.

I was farming some gobs with a party and the party leader invited us all to join her guild. And then a week later, the guild was pretty much inactive. So I left. And thwn I ended up coming to the forums somehow and used Terezi as my avi because I was photoshoping a "Terezi for God" poster for someone at the same time and I already had a picture, so why not. Miyako was the first to welcome me to the forums and just because she recognized Terezi, I was going to follow her... But I got distracted by her guild's name... Just for the name, I wanted to join, but I had to ask my badass-sama (every badass needs a lolita) whether or not I could because IDK. He said yes, but I had to tell him about everything we talked about... I ended up just sending him a link to the Toram Online Forums so I didn't have to tell him everything that happened. And yeah thats what happened

 

Um.. i join my current guild in a weird way.

First,in my country everyone love drama (drama = agrument between 2 groups over a trivial matter...usually happend on the internet). We kind of lay back and watch in the side. Its kinda fun (in my culture anyway)

So... a week ago there is a drama in my Toram facebook group ... the first guy (mr.J)accused the 2nd guy(mr.L) about something. And there we had a mini drama last over 2 days. LOL. While the post was really heated wih a lot of by standers.

Then the guild representative of Mr. L showed up. And become a middle man in this drama. He answered politley while protecting his guild, his guildie and asking for a fair investigation of the issue. The way he answered really bring the heat down and even Mr.J 's guild master came out and apologized.

The drama ended up being a big misunderstanding between mr.J and Mr. L

From that time i was so impressed with this guild rep. So i wanna join the guild. But hey recue only once per month. I was able to join them a few days later thought. It turns out that a few of my good friends are already in the guild too. So im happy.

 

I just have to say I enjoy this thread more than anything else in this forum.

Been gaming since I was 8-9 I think, Ultima Online days. Guild used to be called Cell's, then Wolf Hounds, and ended being called Bakufu in Lineage 1. I been holding this tag for around 17 years. Been gaming way too many games, and the list just keeps increasing. Merged in 2003 with Revolution Gaming aka .Dot to fight for a greater good. Since then been sporting 2 tags, Bakufu as my personal guild, and Revo-Gaming as main guild tag. In 2013 joined the mobile division of the guild, so been playing Android games since then. Jumped the Toram train in July and been doing so since then, met awesome people, lost some too, but gt keep holding onto, till something better comes out lol. Well thats pretty much it.

 

I ended up being in a guild with someone named Queen. I ended up being friends with her and she then asked if she would like to be in the same guild and I said yes. We first met farming vampire capes. She left ( I don't know why) and I'm trying to msg her but she won't respond :/. I might leave that guild because it's been inactive. It has fun people when there active though.

 

When I first started playing I knew I had to be part of a guild. So I joined a guild that had randomly asked me to join. Sadly enough the gm wasn't active and there was no real community. So I left and started trolling the forums and that's when I found Potum. With the help of Squid I learned the basics and started to feel like I was part of a community.
