    Do you even have any flucking idea how much debugging it will take? Do you have any idea how much headache it will give just to adjust skill calculation? Do you even have any idea how toxic people are even without pvp? Good job killing the game and the devs faster.
    Look at snowball event, it's the simplest form of PvP yet it's buggy af. Go play other game with PvP.

    the closest thing this game is gonna get to balanced PvP is a battle royale mode (similar to pubg)

    but the devs are just too retarded to design new mechanics so we aint never gonna get any of that.

    fricking cow heads keep "suggesting" PvP in an unofficial forum.

    it pleases me to see how many are still trying to kill this game faster.

    If you want PvP go play pubg. Toram is pretty good as is with its relaxed style of gameplay.

    Read my latest profile post and my comments on it. :V

    PvP is gonna increase as much server load as spammers and botters already does to the system, and the gameplay experience is already suboptimal as it is. The only way the game can implement a PvP is to either have a different combat system that would require less server event handling(Turn based combat for example), or let it be a sort of race between players on who can kill a certain monster faster.

    Would like to have auto load snowball bazooka! Will pay orbs!(few more steps it be like splatoon) then cry my crap out after peppering the damn bloke and still won't go down(welcome lagmageddon!)

    All other problems aside: Skills would need some heavy readjustments, and I am not talking about damage numbers. Regretless would be by far the most op skill in pvp. You don't care about the death penalty because the fight is over then anyways. You just spam it idk 5 times in the beginning to get happy 50% resistances. And everytime you take a lot of damage you use it again for a 100% hp heal.

    But besides that to all the pvp haters: Why do you care? Nobody forces you to play PvP. Pvp would add actually meaningful content to the game. "But Asobimo could use their resources to add other good content instead!" When was the last time we got meaningful new content? Saying all that I doubt we will every get PvP. I mean Asobimo is already developing Toram 3 so that ship has sailed anyways...

    No regretless isn't the only skill that has to be changed.

    You'd have to work in a new damage calculator for player to player damage because right now, most players have like 10k HP on their DPS/main and do like 1 million damage. This is even worse for skills like dragon tooth which has a 14m range and ignores all defense.

    Certain builds now become a hindrance in PvE whilst they work perfectly in PvP. This doesn't even begin to account for all the combo possibilities. Fast executing skills will now be far more important over slow executing, this means players now need more skill points, which makes everyone more or less have the same skills. You kill diversity.

    Hackers are already prominent in game. With PvP? They become even more cancerous. Hackers aside, the snowball event should have given players more than enough insight as to how PvP would work in this game. Lags for days. There is no way you can say 'get better servers' and be done with it, you will have the problem being persistently and in various forms because some devices simply have limitations to their processing power meaning less people can do PvP, Player to player actions are far more unpredictable than bosses and require more precise timings which differences in ping are gonna affect.

    Saying 'dont participate' is wrong because if implemented, it becomes a part of the game. If it becomes part of the game, you have a right to complain about a part of a game you don't like.

    The fun part? Even if implemented properly, players are going to complain and say it's boring or there's not enough PvP content and to be honest, PvP itself is a very boring feature. It involves nothing more than spamming a skill against another player and hoping you luck out by doing more damage first. There is no strategy beyond the initial point after you find the quickest way to do big damage. PvE by comparison has much more diversity in different skill sets for Mobs, Bosses, Solo play or team support.

    The 2 skills that will definitely break the game are Shikuchi and Flash Blast. Evade your way to victory! and all that shit. :V As long as Power Shot and Magic Lances are the only long range crowd control skills in the game, every skill in the game can be dodged by simply moving around.

    Anyway, PvP really has to be implemented differently, imo. The way Toram's event handling work atm wont be able to cope with the complexity of a PvP fight. If there is an HP check invoked after every damage skill resolves then the server is gonna get absolutely flooded with event messages during even in just one instance of a 1v1 pvp fight. And before anyone says "Get more powerful servers", no, that isn't going to help this issue. The simple fact of the matter is, in order for Toram work the way it is right now, the game's event handling had to made to be as simple as possible because Our phones and Tablets can't handle complex data proccessing that is required in order to apply a PvP concepts onto the current combat system.

    Remember guys, Toram IS A MOBILE GAME. If Toram had PVP on top of it's current combat system, it'd be an Anime-ified Dark Souls. Except, phones and tablets can't run Dark Souls. I'm just happy that Toram is very close to Monster Hunter as it is.

    Beat these few monsters.
    They are among best of players in toram.

    this kind of PvP is desirable imo
    utilizing proration and except your attacks cannot damage opposing players or damage structures.

    i have yet to see a game where PvP is completely optional and doesn't affect gameplay in any way.
    usually there are either exclusive or necessary currencies/materials handed out as reward, or it's on the daily/weekly mission list.
    so you are forced to do PvP whether you like it or not.

    And ofcourse builds would be different. But I don't see how that is an argument against pvp...

    That is not pvp. That is: "I can press my dps combo faster and have better gear"
