Is a dagger mage still fine?

My stormer has about 40-50 spare points to learn skills. And I wanna improve boss fighting abilities.

All of my current combos are only combinations of Impact, Magic Storm, MP Charge, and Wall.

By the way, I don't have to use all my skill points. And my stat is gonna be INT-DEX if possible.

I also found an earlier guide. But it was when Poison Knife damage still doesn't scale with INT.

So I'm deciding whether which would be greater between dagger mage and arrow mage. For some personal reasons, I prefer dagger mage more. But would like to make sure whether it is still worth playing.

Just keep on levellinng up the dagger mage, also learn the skills pertaining to mages from the battle skills
(Sorry I forgot exact names of skills-the ones which help increase atk as your level increases)

Also, it was found out the damage from poisonn knife isn't based on int alone.
Something calculated based on dex and int.,
which is like this: Poison - deals fixed additional damage on every action, damage is 50% of DEX and 1% ATK

Also most dagger mage aim for dps; 2 things that can help:
1) optimised gears (prefer having int and matk stats on them)
2) elemental staffs

RedFox's guide you mentioned seems to be more updated than the one I saw.
And it suits my needs really well. Wonder how didn't I see it myself earlier lol
