It is a bug after all

It seems that sniping with bow is a bug after all. Sad sad.

 

How come?

 

Lemme dig up smth so that yall saying that sniping with a bow always crits is a bug.

So... archers' snipe won't always crit now? If that's the case, it won't only force archer snipers to change their builds (as it happened on January 14 with snipe using bowgun which suffered a nerf of C.Rate -25%), but this will also hit the market, they'll be buying bows and armors with critical rate stats instead of the current atk%/dex% with c.dmg. They'll miss out-damaging some gunners. Let's see what happens...

 

There was an update before that made Snipe have a 30% crit rate reduction.
Which can be nullified if you equip a bow and max out Snipe.

 

At first I was certain that it was a bug but when they upgraded the IOS game engine and the snipe with IOS users are 100% too, I thought that maybe they're planning something and I convinced myself that it ain't a bug. Bad decision to spend tons of spina for this build although it was really fun. Back to reality XD

 

The notice doesn't say that it is the Bow that has the wrong calculation. It says certain items... can someone please try sword-arrow, staff-arrow, knux - arrow? I'm pretty sure it is not the bow. Or prolly try, BG-knucs, BG-shield, BG-MD, BG-arrow?

 

But only bow has 100% crit snipe.

this thread is a fine example of how media works today...
they don't say anything with "bow" in that maintenance log.
so unless u're ASO's inside man or u have proofs about them saying it's bow case, then this thread is just a public deception that will lead to misunderstandings everywhere.

 

Well it says refrain from taking "advantage" of the issue. The only weapon snipe has a crit "advantage" on is bow. So it's not wrong to say this update is mainly for bow snipers.

You say that but bow snipers aren't op. Bowgun sniper are. I feel this update is unnecessary but Toram is not my game to balance, sooooo...

it's wrong to assume, it's always is.
they made that advantage themselves, and it's wrong to take advantage of it?
they clearly have put the update to iOS too, which makes iOS users have sure crit rate too. with all the 100% snipe rate on bows threads that was posted on the forum, surely it won't take 2-3months for them to realize it.
I say let's just see the outcome of the maintenance. don't spout baseless opinion that that will lead to useless debates.

First of all... the living fuque are you referring to?

Secondly... Most people I know who use snipe use bow, not BG. But thats just an observation. And In my opinion... my OPINION... Snipe is OP either way. All this game is nowadays is snipers and mages and Brawlers. Thats why I went with 1H/MD as my main. I wish there were more weapons.... Need more diversity in thi game.

 

Yesterday while I was farming N wood and b nuts u were ranting about full Mage pts and I just thought it was interesting

I mean c'mon, bowgun gets 150% more damage, bow then should get 100% crit, or what would be the "fair" option. This only means "welcome to pay 3m for a nice bg ", I will ya gear bow and blaster bow

but I'm still thinking that in the end bowgun will surpass bow in terms of damage. bowgun only has damage to brag, while bow has status infliction n moderate (middle-high lol) damage. so that 250% dmg buff on bowgun's snipe is quite fair. not to mention other dmg buff from shot skills.
