There are three major things BotW had inspired: Cel-shading (Nintendo wasn’t the first to use said style); the graphics are eerily similar, Geographical features; bloody identical, however the map layout is unique, Certain gameplay features such as climbing, paragliding, and swimming. And two major differences: Combat system; hack-and-slash party system comparable to Xenoblade Chronicles 2 or NieR Automata, Story. I’m sure there are more. I haven’t played Genshin Impact, and assuredly, neither have you--you’re simply talking rubbish at this point. Admittedly, I was quite skeptical at first--as a Zelda fan, I was put off by Genshin Impact's initial success as it seemingly plagiarised BotW (therefore I understand your sentiment). However, is there anything wrong with improving upon a previously successful formula? No; there isn’t--it’s similar to arguing that most MMOs are WoW clones. I understand Chinese gaming companies are notorious for cloning popular games, however Genshin Impact is one of many exceptions. It’s, by far, much easier to write it off as a clone than criticize its merits.
