Knuckle + Md (star crossed pair)

Since l wanted to build Knuckle + Md for crusher skills..l used md..
But..!
I noted, with md as sub, the atk decreases atleast..by 200 or something..
While with dagger, it remains normal..

Since its a quite literally low budget build, my atk with ;
•tonfa(+D) = 1.5k .-.)
+md = 1.3k -w-; )
[..and since annihilator increases bout..400 atk..1.9k at most .-.)]

•toy gun(+C) = 1.3k
+md = 1.1k Q-Q; )
+ Annihilator = (assumed) 1.7k atmost :’

With md, mp doesnt become an issue..but atk does..
Without..? Atk is fine but again..mp -w-; )
AND..!
Since its tonfa..crit management..so attention to ampr will be..meh-ish..

What should l do ^^; )?

You are given sticks to fight a ..big bad dragon..(in terms of tonfa..quite literally)

 

I personally thing if you are going with MD, I would use Mortal Katar or Toy Gun. With Tonfa you lose out on a good amount of crit from the dagger, and plus some daggers give good MP+ or AMPR+. 200 ATK doesnt mean much when you can patch it up with Small Fairy Wings or Sacred Ice Armour (if you go AGI=INT>STR).
The best thing about sub MD is that you can become a true "Distance Demon" (thx Sakurai) and actually have good damage on your magic skills.
With Maximizer forcing you to get Power Wave you basically have good AMPR normal attack (because Knife Throw doesnt give you AMPR) and can use Slide whenever you want to get in close. This means you can charge up a goliath while doing Impact > Chariot or Burst and be fine at a distance.

If you want to use Tonfa, I don't know exactly how you'd build it

My prob stems from lack of ‘investment’ in proper gear (n currently cant solved -w-*) (And tonfa..) hence the reduced atk..n more reduced atk with such ‘loss/penalty’ :’
...but..maybe..if l follow the logic of..
More mp = more atk = more rate dmg over time, than
Less mp = more atk = less rate of dmg over time..

I mean, my current build for it is Mortal Katar+C with both Small Fairy Wings and Sacred Ice Armour
This makes INT(1.5) give more attack than DEX (.5) and still give you 4 MATK. So AGI=INT would give 3.5 Attack and 4 MAtk every 1=1. STR would give you 1 MATK and good CrtDamg if I ever need it.
Then my skills are
DPS: Goliath Punch, Chariot, Burst
MP: MP Charge, Maximizer, Sober Analysis
Of course with Magic Warrior Mastery, Conversion, Impact, Annahilator, Familia, Breathworks, Slide, Backstep, and Shukuchi.
Everything else is filler.

I've always thought about recording my builds, but I never really wanted to put it up since I'm never gonna get to top tier damage and people will ignore my builds.

Plus leveling up is a pain and I dont have all the skills to show off
~~Like how my current KnuxMD doesnt have chariot yet so I cant use chariot while waiting for Goliath and setting up Burst~~

 

Learning the passive on magic swordsman skill tree will help you recover most of the attack you lost.

With MD reduce 15% ATK. Normally knuckle gain about 14~18 ATK for each ATK%, so you will lost about total 210~270 ATK when using knuckle. Magic warrior mastery return you +10% ATK at LvL10 when equip MD as sub, but you still lost 5% attack which is about 70-90 attack.

if you just want to spam Goliath punch, I saw a Kn-MD combo in YouTube..

A-lib > Warcry(sv) > QAura(sw) > Backstep(con) > Breathworks(con) > GP(Sw)

Then using Slide > GP(am) > Backstep(con)

Both is 1mp, so should be able to solve the MP-hungry problem.

 

Once you’re using tonfa you will have to dedicated your gears for crt, I am personally working on a build of my own so I am getting 99crt with tonfa, which is good since my set up will be not only tonfa but rescue gloves as well and any other new knuc that’s elemental based that doesn’t contain crt. Knox md is good and all but you’ll quickly realize that a crt knuc would be better since you can’t get crt from a sub md, your only sub crt options are empress dagger (10crt) and Vulcan (12crt)

Sorry to ask, but whats use of ‘Conversion’ ?
Shouldnt M.W mastery be enough ..?

 

Conversion is to maximize my MATK, since I actually use Burst and later Meteor in my hybrid build.

 

So if we dont need matk (or magic skills in general) we can skip it right?

 

Yeah, my logic is "If I'm losing ATK and spending money on a book made for hybrid ATK/MATK, I'll do that so I can get my moneys worth and feel happy with it"
If you don't need it, don't get it. I might put up my build for more detail, but I'm never really confident in my builds since everyone on YT Toram is real anal.

The idea is pretty awesome, knuckle burst build, didnt think of one before x3
(No wonder l aint a build-maker xD)
But considering EVERYTHING..
Its a lil sp hungry build (at low lvl like 161)x3

Chariot, Goliath already consume alot @.@; )
(Magic skill tree already consumes more than half of sp

Burst, is like..another 20 sp xD

Maybe l’ll stick to 2 mains rn x3
