New Guard system infos

Just dump the infos you get here, please. That would help a lot.

 

guard can only be used while standing.
evasion can only be used while moving.

guard protects from front attacks only, but you can turn around by turning the camera.
evasion dashes in the direction you are moving.

all equipment boni are stackable.

base evasion stack is 2 for knuckles and DS, 4 for daggers, 6 for light armor and 8 for MDs.

evasion consumes 1 charge per use.
guard consumes multiple charges based on the damage.
somehow this scales with maxHP?

evasion can negate damage from single attacks if you use it with the right timing.
apparently there is a bonus to guard when you use it at the perfect time?

when set to auto-mode, it will not activate against certain attack patterns.

 

he 0.8%/s mean recover 0.8% of damage absorb every second.

I try set it to auto but seen like nothing happen, same for evade system.

 

So, new info on that new viewing settings?

 

seems the auto setting is as good as off

about this it seems as other think, a free view mode. You can access by put "photo shoot" shortcut (it's in the menu list when input the shortcut), tho i dont know if there're any other way to access it

 

it is terrible indeed if it's set on auto.

 

Anyone try shield /w light armor?

 

what does it mean recover % of damage absord every seconds? the words is too hard for my dumb brain

 

Works great with shield + light armor, I'll upload something in a bit VS Maton.

 

How does the guard skill tree affect this? I assume that these new guard skills are only affected by the equipment equipped. I haven't tested it out yet since i havent logged in yet. Im just browsing.

 

Having any guard equipment on you gives a guard gauge, similar to barriers.
Don't really fully understand what's the number written on the button though.
0.8%/s is the recovery speed of the gauge, though idk 0.8% of which, max gauge or max HP

There's also a pointer around guard button, when guard gauge recovers past thay pointer the recovery speed goes down severely

As what I understand about the new revamp tree, the guard power is replaced with guard recharge which might increase the amount count of guard to be used for and uhhh the power to block the damage I guess.

evasion on the other hand also increases the amount of evasion count you can use dependingn on the weapon of choice, armor model and sub weapon you use and the evasion rate% is also replaced witj evasion recharged which make the replenish time of the counter faster.

just try it when you play the game.

 

Evasion got cooldown when used while casting. Moves you around 3m away from the current position.

On the other hand, it doesn't have a cooldown when you are not casting anything and can be used consecutively as long as you have the counter.

 

uhh.. if i recall the one being replaced as guard recharge are guard rate, while guard power applied as guard charge counts

 

Guard doesn't seem to give any bonus with perfect timing.

Floor and meteor are attacks that cant be guarded. Floor refers to spikes.

Guard counter used does not scale with maxhp, its on how much damage you are supposed to take after reduction from resistance is calculated. Basically its like how guard check happens after resistances and probably after sanctuary check also(needs to be tested). I saw pras glen video with his tank that have more maxhp than me but lower magic resistance, the guard counter reduced by about 30 from seele laser compared to my tank that uses up 18 counter.

 

Guard seems to negate ailments, full MTL build now useless? Or this a bug?

 

It was stated in physical guard skill that you gain ailment resistance if you guard at low HP.

And guard recovery rate is somewhat slow, you can't guard forever as a tank

 

I don't have that skill. I use light armor + shield
