Update please.

 

My character is a tank as well.

Proper positioning is key when pulling the monster.

Volg for example, i ussually tell my party mates to stay behind it all the time for them to avoid its magic attack, coz' sometimes my hard hit would miss.

Tanks should memorize all the boss' tendencies and patterns to be very efficient.

Always instruct your partymates( in the nicest way possible) about positioning.

I hope this will help all tankers in the game ^_^

Tanking is not just standing ground, tanking needs intellect as well ^_^

Tell that to the tankers that want to stand in front of Red Circle or Line Attacks and take the hit, making the support's Job even harder ._.

 

I also want to say that the role of a tank doesn't necessarily have to be performed by a "tank-type" character. My main is an archer mage and I take the role of the tank in my party. The idea here is that you won't get hit by normal attacks 'cause they're close range and you can hold aggro by attacking. AoE attacks are avoidable. If you drop aggro, you can always use that as a chance to recover mana/hp and/or use a breaking skill. Who cares if your DPS or support has to run in circles for a few seconds? They shouldn't die or anything if they're paying any attention, anyways.

What xtal an gear are u using? Sorry for so many Q.

 

I have a question for experimented tanks, i don't know what personal stats I should choose. My two options are Mental and Technique, i'd like to know your opinion about this. I'm a Dex-Vit tank by the way. I'm hoping for your help

 

I think you use moche xtal or k.potum xtall right ?

 

Why technique? Isn't that for BS success rate?

 

It raises by 10% so its a difference indeed.

Hey all, I'm still very new to the game, (Only level 38) and I feel I've messed up my character a lot. Right now he has 40 Dex and 58 Vit. I just recently found out about this website and looking at builds. I hope this is still an active forum, as I would like some input as well on how to make my build a little better. I want to be a 1h sword/shield tank - or possibly when it's added a dual wielding sword tank. I think I used the only free reset they give you in the game and I'm playing on apple so I won't be able to restart. I just received a skill reset today for some reason, 22 hours played I think, and I don't want to mess up any further. Anyone have a good idea of what I should be focusing on? And how to make me a rockin tank? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am building Tank character with the near skill same build.
The difference is only :
1. I am using 1H sword (fan sword) instead of Staff.
2. I got extra aggro skill "Rage sword" instead of "bless + gloria"
And all around my equipment set is a bit different.

 

How many VIT we need for a tank to sufficiently tank Golden skel's hit?
Is there any tank build who can give proper damage to enemy also?

 

Full Dex 1h with max HP boost / Force & Magical Shield Passive max gives you 2k bonus hp +600hp lvl65 char without vit can easily tank gskel but if you plan to tank multiple 3-4 gskel at the same time i recommend Full Vit.

 

I would like to post my current tank.

Stats = balance of vit and dex (you need accuracy for some bosses to be able to maintain agro)
skills.
Lvl 10 provoke : IMPORTANT provoke becomes 200 MP. yes max lvl 10 this so u can hold tons of agro-
Lvl 10 rage sword: This will be ur only damaging skill. This skill is unknown but it can deal up to 5k with crit even wth full vit tank on bosses.
Lvl 1 shield bash: Your breaking skill. This will (not can) stun the target. but the boss will be in a 20 second or so stun immunity. so u cant spam. Tap duration will be 5-10 seconds.
Lvl 10 MP charge: everyone needs this anyway.
Others will be ur part.
Survival HP boost and hp regen
Shield HP boost.
heavy armor upgrade
