The Widow Maker (bow build)*not updating

OK first off this ain't my idea credits should go to @PhongTom , @CASANOVA who mentioned it and used it.I just built around it and and wana share with you guys.

What is this?
It is a very high crit sniper using the GEARBOW. You might have seen a few people mention it. This has been made with not much survivability or tank in mind, if you want that please read PhongToms guide.all I focus on is DPS.

Gears to use
All we care about is Critdamge, become a crit maniac!!! Only care about Critdamge , nothing else matters muahahahah. This is built maximize your crit damage to the max.
With a full Dex Archer using this bow you will still always be criting every SNIPE.
Also STR stat will increase our crit damage even further so it's worth for the future as well. So let's take advantage of that *_-.
Stats: Full DEX Cap + STR secondary
Gear: Critdamge, atk gear+ atk based xtals.

GEAR BOW - +25% critdamge. -50% critrate ( 60% stability)
Npc craft :
15 black crystal fragment( eerie or bd decel)
2 old metal( excavated golem)
The most important gear of all, refine as much as you can cause it's base atk is kinda low so try an get it to E+ at least. Try to get a high attack and slotted one(possibleXD)

30 Gluey Skin-00ze , lutoras cavern
Boss version is best but very hard to drop from ooze -Attack MP Recovery +3, Short Range Damage +3%, DEX +3%, Critical Damage +3%

Fur cape slot(not sure if coat lol)-critdamge%3 atk speed %5 fire resistance-7%
Green boar -land under cultivation

Spiky bandana slot-dex%2 long range damge%2 accuracy+20
Npc craft-
35 goatskin (goats yhorl Highlands)
15 black fur(hounds scarro town)
Or
Warhelm atk+10 critrate+10 alimnt resistance- (forgot lol)
Drop Warmonger boss ; Haotas Ravine**

Dex ll talisman slot- Dex+4 MP+300
Npc craft-
20 poison essence ( pain leafs hoatas ravine, sword fish lutaros cavern)

hahah, now this huh
just a heads up, i recommend to use ur LUK mage/char whenever u craft stuffs at Zaldo....
I know I know, it's baseless opinion but I tried 14 gear bows without a slotted one before
then I had this stupid idea, then tried it again with my LUK mage... slotted on first try

 

Im gona be makin sure to do this XD thank yu lol know i can put my ganglef xtal to use.
And as soon as i get more sp ill invest in long range definitely lvl10

 

its make stable on dmg snipe dude ^^

 

1. Luck Stat doesn't affect NPC crafted slot rate, but does affect player crafted slot rate. This has been tested thoroughly. Your case was coincidental.
2. Long Range passive does increase the damage from snipe as a gunner if the snipe is casted at 8 meters or more from the target.

has another try for gear bow at Zaldo today, got atk+4 n slot+1
let's just say luck is in the air lol

btw my apologies if what I typed about long shot mastery looked like discredited gunner, i didn't type anything about gunner not having benefit from it
it's just bow user can auto hit from 11m while bowgun at 8m not mentioning that sometimes target approach closer, so archer has better chance of exploiting long shoot mastery, that's all really

 

When I first started, some know-it-all took his time to laugh at me for researching into the possibilities of MDs, saying how stupid it is to focus a build around one weapon type.

Here you maximized the potential from a single weapon, Gear bow, and pretty much closed the gap between bow users and bow-gunners!

We already know late game bow will outclass bowgun. With the stat dex/str for bow vs dex/crit for bowgun. Upon adding str stat later it will catch up on the damage of bowgun and with good stability and crit it will surely beat bowgun. But but but theres more =) what if devs release a skill that will suit bowgun instead of bow? That might affect the final result of which is better bow or bowgun =)

 

I agree with what your saying; its obvious what asobimo intend with there weapon classes; bowgun will always be about pure dps damage, and bow about the buffs and reliability. Maybe a future skill will game change for bowguns yes or bows nerfed down the line. But from now till level 4 skills is a long time away . maybe only end of the year or next year even lol. So I will try an shine with bows till then

 

I think stability and a 100% snipe crit already is better than using a bowgun (for now). It may not have that burst damage when using bow but stable damage is better for me IMO. Currently testing this weapon, a sure 73-79k snipe with mediocre equips to arco already made me switch to this XD

 

As a Bow user, I don't see any change in Snipe dmg at any distances (Long Range lv5) Maybe it's a bug

 

It won't hit higher the further you are if you are already 8m+. You just have to be 8m+ for long range bonus damage % to do effect.
For example, you are at 9m and deal a 75k, you would've dealt the same 75k at 10m of distance or at 16m of distance.
Long Range damage % is applied the same from 8m+ to 24m.

 

Always the same from 1m to 16m don't know why

 

could be proration too,
but I always make sure to snipe from afar when using sneak combo, n I always see increase in damage

 

you could also test it using a weapon with high stability. you would certainly notice the dmg boost when you are 8m away from the target. its just that its not noticeable when using a bowgun as the stability is low.
