Unexpected drop on the item prices

It's all started since like around march/april where the price of items drastically dropped, i think there's some kind of deflation going on toram's spina, and since then i can't seems to make a correct prediction about what would happen to the item prices in the future.

Take a look at patissia, it is literally the first time toram releases such a boss, and from my past experience, if it's the first time toram hold a boss event, the price of the drops will increase drastically, just like evil shadow xtal and proto clarity app (when it first released), especially that patissia is so hard to beat there's almost no clear way to consistently do a fast-kill run multiple times.

But what do we get? THE PRICE OF THE XTAL DOESN'T EVEN REACH 3M WHAT THE H-, and it doesn't stop there, remember the anti-degradation's price? it used to rise everytime there's an anniversary event, why? because people will start making those anniversary weapons and started refining them, sure people might over-farm the anti-degradation which caused the price to drop, but the amount of anniversary weapons that were created and needed to be refined should balance the andeg price, we can see the example of it on the 4th anniversary event when the price of anti-degradation rises above 500k and never dropped below it eventhough everyone was farming it, even if the price dropped i expect it to drop only by a bit BUT NO IT LITERALLY DROPPED BY HALF.

And it doesn't stop there, while preparing for the 5th anniversary event, i capped two BS char, one for statting one for crafting, because i expect the fill-stat price would rise drastically when the even started (before the summer event started), but guess what? THE PRICE DOESN'T EVEN CHANGE, good thing i built a crafting BS char which makes me able to get a high atk weapon and give me some profit.

TL;DR all the items prices are dropping like crazy.
any idea why did this happened?

 

there are public mods again and spina RMT Sellers are botting using 4 accounts at a time with emulators to farm items and sell them for spina including xtals. you can easily go on youtube and search "toram mod" and you'll see what i mean. better report to asobimo because game will die soon with the spina farmers

 

Bots, free resets and hoarding culture

 

The years before there weren't alot of people botting at mino but this year mino became flooded with bots as the person mentioned above people sharing "how to" modding / botting videos on YouTube and other websites / social media groups so the demand of anti-deg this year didn't outweigh the supply so prices have kept slowly falling because there are just too many people running bots there making too much supply which drives prices cheaper and cheaper.

And yeah seems modding is still very present, I suspected gopherga was being modded when i saw people posting 50-100 xtals on cb and once the event disappeared the price should have gone up or at least stayed the same but now it's dropped to below 2m from 3m+ and will probably still decline as now all the modders are tryna sell their hoard making a higher supply than demand ratio causing prices to fall as I mentioned above.

Asobimo doesn't seem phased by these cockroaches in their game ruining it so i guess enjoy toram while it lasts and if u know a spot or method to make spina keep it to yourself or else someone's guna post it on YouTube to get views and the botters will swarm it. Bla bla bla

The game became overrun with people cheating. It began with the friend-bots. And once they were not viable, it moved to classical bot farms. The worse part is that once it becomes pvp, it will just add to the toxicity.

I feel they should have region locked the servers, as a lot of the modding community is from China, due to the large number of unemployment computer science graduates, looking for income.


But hacking in online games has become so bad lately.

I think, the only way to combat it. Is to set an silent algorithm that detects game play features and achievements that are outside or normal behavior.

It isn't normal to grind the same boss for hours, and repeat a teleportation sequence. Usually if there is a pattern that is natural, it will fit a different distribution.

If the modder/bot fits it. Then they are transferred to an isolation server. Then, any account made from the same device is sent there. In addition, if one region or vpn is overwhelmed with bots/mods. Then they will have to have an additional separation between countries. Until a player has proven they're legitimate.

I think this is the only way to filter them.

 

Well better for players worse for devs. They should already release ori ore drop easy and easy antidegras formula so everyone could make em and bots die of hunger.

 

I am secret member in a lot of hacking communities and reporting all this to asobimo but I need more help spreading awareness...

The tool they use to hack is called gameguardian with lua scripts that they share, normally the game detects it but they are hiding it using app hider or virtualxposed...

I dont know much about tech stuff so that's all I know...

Wow. So the dev can sleep soundly and player take matters to their own hand.
But if it was me I would making new boss in which one of the diff are impossible to beat and just ban those who clear it.

Edit : wtf those clear time, scratch my idea and just ban those who clear it under 5 sec ?

 

Not really, I can not even sell my susp old box for 25K per any more or broken masks for 30K. To be honest, a fix for this would be you have to break the boss to have a chance for the good drops. Pretty much have the boss break as a sorta captcha. With the times that I am seeing in these images, it is unlikely that the bots are even fighting the boss to begin with. I suspect that the boss fight is really just a client side check in which the moddder can simply tell the server that they have defeated the boss. Since, the server does not actually check to see if the boss has actually been destroyed the modder gets the loot without fighting it.

I still seem to sell mysterious nut at a really good price. This is because mysterious nut is a break part on kuzto.

 

If devs went on serious mode and want to fix this dying market is good old rollback.
But i doubt they'll do that cuz player will be enraged including myself.

So yeah i dont think aso could fix this easily

Dude, you're missing the point. Games aren't fun for everyone if it's easy.

Unfortunately there are people that love achievement verses the impatient. This is why we end up with hackers and beggars, they want every now but also want the prestige that legitimate players have.

 

This is why I don't know if its still worth to play toram, I keep coming back playing like straight a week and stop. I have also tons of anti deg that didn't even get sold for months

 

Its all the bots doing, as they supply the most wanted items, more and more demands are met and of course with less demands the item price will drop. now that's just basic law of economics. The problem is for those who play/farm with their own free time vs botters, as one work their a$$ off to gain spina, the other would just boot up their bots and go to sleep, waking up to multiple full bags of materials. the root of most problem in Toram is Botsssss.

 

I quit like 2 months ago. The hacking has undermined everyone's legitimate efforts to play the game.

 

What'd you guys expect on a free to play game. OFC it would be overrun with bots and hacks for the sake of RMTing the shit out of this game. There's a lot of facebook groups pushing this act ranging from Chinese(VPN), INDO, PH and some hikkis.
Just take a look at @ENG server. PH has the balls to RMT through shout @sofya in exchange for "load" or whatever.
FIX: MAKE THE game P2P or B2P

 

You mean make Toram P2P/B2P? like the current game? making it P2P with the current game infrastructure? with the same game coding? what would that fix? for all we know it might be too late to save this game now, as we can see how easily people use bots/hacks.
rebuilding the game codes from the ground up might be the only way to get rid of the bots, but hey, new codes = new game, Iruna 3 B2P, I'm down for that.

 

OFC. Pull an ARR/ RIFT PRIME stunt, and get compensated dearly and adjusted drop rates And you're left with players who wont whine about having progress loss. What you got a better idea of having free to play w/o bot/hax free environment. While the cash shop isnt heavily p2w like the rest of MMOs in the market. F2p will always be a stigma to user experience.

 

asobimo can easily fix this, they made it much harder to hack in the past that's why everyone should spread awareness..

 

Titeres drops Anti-Degs, doesn't it? Also Orichalcum and its Ore. I mean I was given this reason as to why prices dropped.

• Is the price drop only on Worldwide (ALL users) or on both English and Global servers?
• I would love if there were different servers even for Int1,2,3 so that members of this forum (which I assume are good enough to know the real price of items) could just go to International 3 to do normal value trades.
