I have 29 skill points left on my Lvl 40 Blacksmith acc with Pure Tech, do you guys think it's enough for synthesize equipment?

    Edit: yup it's enough!! ^_^

Noted kime, oh I wanted to check, I couldn't get any more prof after I hit 50 prof.. keep getting the notice that I 'failed to get profieciency' even while making damascus.. any advice?
EDIT: Ah I figured it out.. it's cos of the tec I added I think.. it makes the item difficulty quite high, so it registers as 115/60 (damascus)
    Looks like I need mythril

13 level to go. Good luck dude :D
I have been earning spina for the upcoming dual wield build but if it unlocks 1 more slot after prof. 100 then I will spend half my earning to go prof. 100

First of all thank you everyone so much for this thread.
This method you copy-pasted to the front page. At step 1: You're saying the appearance should be guaranteed.
But here you're saying that the dye should be guaranteed.
So in other words we should have a lot of the appearance of the item we want (like say, a ton of garbage ooze armors) then have one armor with the dye we want, and the other with the stats we want...right?

Yap becos tec affects success rate so skill level do not need to max, for now.

And thanks for testing to prove that's tec increase success rate!

I think you misunderstood what I typed in your first quote.. im saying you only need 2 sets of appearance equips(IF you have 2 feature unlocked).. you dont need a ton of them (you will need 'a ton' of appearance equips IF you only have 1 feature unlock).. if cos in this case, ooze armor is a real pain to farm for (esp rainbow stone).. the method i suggested was to allow you to secure the exact stat +appearance + 1 dye on the shortest way possible (with 2 feature unlocks @ 50 alch prof).. you can experiment around if you like, but I wouldn't use dyes as the constant because there is a chance that it may revert to the original colour of the undyed item..(if someone can help me explain this complication thank you!)
it's like on any equip, the appearance will always be the same appearance (1/1). But on a dyed equip it's possible to get original costume colour (1/2) and the dye (2/2). For stat, sometimes you manage to farm a v good stat that you don't want to lose (1/1)
So the probability to NOT get a dye is higher, that's why I probably syn a dye on a appearance in stead of the other way round.. hope I clarified!
In case my explanations aren't clear, you can always feel free to experiment with it as much as you want and you'll come to understand why I suggested using appearance as the variable to make constant! You can also contribute your findings and i'll add it to my guide

I've got a question :/ I have a blacksmith that's also an alchemist now, but my blacksmith proficiency is lvl 12 and the alchemist proficiency is lvl 1.
But my tech level is 100+ and that makes me able to create equipments and synthesize items up to difficulty level 56.

Does the difficulty level count as proficiency? Or will I still have a higher chance of failing?

That's a good question @Anzu, I believe difficulty doesn't count as prof, but basically allows you to craft higher level gear. Tech only affects success, so it's a totally different thing altogether, but inter-related.
Higher difficulty items allow you to earn more prof exp % to level up prof, tech only affects whether your smith items get good stats (slot/+def/+atk) or whether your alch potions get wasted or becomes a usable potion. Whether or not your gear/potion is pass (equip:good stats/potion: usable) or fail (equip:poor stats/potion: wasted mats) you will always get prof exp % as long as your current difficulty lvl is close to the difficulty level of the craft able item (can some one clarify or correct me if I'm wrong on the italicised sentence?)
Anyway, this qn should be answered in an alch guide.. this is a syn guide haha! But I hope it helps

But then does that mean then we don't need to raise proficiency anymore?
Because the tech stat and difficulty level is already enough to craft a lot of things.

Or maybe proficiency should still be leveled up?

Also really sorry that i asked that at the wrong thread!!

If u read some blacksmith threads n this thread u will see that proficiency level is no less important than TEC stat itself.
It still define how many stat or how much further u can modify stat on player crafted potential equips, while alchemy proficiency define whether u can be sure not to waste ur medicine mats/having failed on those rev3 or vita plus II just because u have them available to craft
Experience is the greatest teacher, u can always try any feature from blacksmith (equipment upgrades) or alchemy (synthesis item n equipment synthesis) to see how proficiency works hand in hand with TEC stat

Go back to kijimus for awhile, make rev3s.

If you find yourself stuck w/o buyers for it, process them away for med points. I have started doing this yesterday. I know its kinda a waste, but everyone is a mage inside, so they dont have to use rev3s atm.
