    If you talkin about dark choco ooze it can be killed in 12sec fb with good dps pt:/ without recharguin time btw runs. Just tell to the bow user to do guard break from begining of run and dont wait 8 sec until cf charged.

    This one's the small spike, my max HP is 20220 so:
    2628/20220=12.99%
    With the p.def recovery of 2k, and 2 p.def for 1 fractional hit(you gotta time it right without guardian) the recovery rate easily exceeds the fractional damage.

    Now, how about the huge ass spike? As I couldnt get a nm party, I make do with testing on normal difficulty to see if the fractional amount differs from nightmare difficulty.

    Its basically the same, so here, I assume that the large spike would be the same as well(no different between difficulties)

    So I used my halberd to test the large spike on normal difficulty

    This one's from the large spike, with 4387 max HP you can see that the amount of fractional damage is 519:

    519/4387=11.8% more or less 12%

    As you can see, its actually less than the smaller spike, not to mention my halberd doesnt use shield so the amount should be reduced by about 10% so it should be about 11% with a tank

    With 20k HP you can basically tank 1 spike leisurely with p.def and decoy. double spike will give you some trouble, but you can survive for a decent amount of time, 3 stack would probably kill you quickly but I doubt you will get to that point. With slightly lower max HP it might even be fine with 2 spikes.

    I never said it's impossible I said it'll be hard that's why I wanna see how they do it.
    Because I'm doing it differently. When the spikes will just hit 30-40dmg to me, do I really need to use pdef? Infact I honestly think tank should avoid those. Its just for the argument that tank should stay on the meelee decoy for it to be useful.
    So when boss moved u should wait and stay close to the decoy. Wait boss to walk into you give the room for most dps kills to miss ( dtooth, finale, cfire, etc )

    Anyway, all video games are bad now.
    They've all pandered to normies, and it has become about pre-orders, nerfed graphics, loot crates and bad memes.

    I can't wait for the FF 7 remake, where if you want to play as Cloud you'll need to preorder the platinum release package or otherwise use premium currency to roll for him. And that's just to start the game. You won't be able to progress past the start menu without cloud.

    But it gets better, the new Dota will be one lane only, all fps games will have 1shot kill auto lock built into them, and fighting games will come with an "auto fight" option so you can just watch.

    Can't wait for the future of MMOs where it's only Chinese bot farmers, and no actual players.

    The future is now.

    Fractional attacks dont rise with boss difficulty so yes it will stay same.

    I disagree. That might be true for some AAA developers but theres still a lot of indie devs that make games out of sheer passion and not to get quick bucks or milk people with nostalgia

    In my opinion, yes you should wait for the boss to come to yourself even if it moves around, the reason is bosses don't usually cast their epicentre aoe and most of other ranged aoe unless youre within the range of their melee attacks, it also simplifies the positioning. As a dps id rather stay within certain area instead of going around chasing the boss, the tank's location is where I keep in mind as priority, hence why I hate a non-ailment resist tank that gets knocked back a lot. My paradigm of tanking is to stay within an area not because of decoy's range, its easy to re-cast and you will actually get your mp back, its because of positioning. For bosses that moves around a lot it doesn't really matter whether the dps(finale, cf) misses because of the tank stay still, or the tank that follows the boss around which in my opinion, would be more detrimental positioning-wise, to keep following the boss around and complicates the dps positions, too

    Of course in case of spikes and the boss moves away, I'll at least get out of the spike but I'll stay within the same vicinity. I won't go around chasing the boss unless there is a need to do that, for example, when you need to bind them(such as gespectre) or getting a ranged dps(yes I actually care about ranged party members) that's about to get hit to get within my guardian's range. I'll go back to the same spot that I left

    i do respect your preference. im just saying facts based on my experience that i found it more easy for my dps to deliver that damage the more i minimized its movements. maybe thats why most of my grinds turning out nice even on random parties. and my HB experiencing it alot like DT just hitting 1x or sometimes completely missing every time boss in changing position motion/walking. thats why i prefer me moving around them than them moving to me. i think that playstyle are shown in most of my vids ;)

    Oh here we go, the 'indie gamer'. Unless it's something sophisticated from Jonathan Blow or similar. It's probably trash littering the stream market, and permanently in development.

    And before you start listing all your favourite VR anime girlfriend simulators. Recommend a game that won't make me make wild accusations.

    If VR anime girlfriend is one of the first thing that comes to your mind as an indie game I dont think I can change your mind. I have no idea what genre you look for anyway.

    Thanks for the recommendation tho, jonathan blow's games do seem interesting.
