    23 February 2016 - NEW UPDATES!

Hello guys, my IGN is Equites. I want to share my triple kick builds : the Staff Fu (formerly known as blaster brawler) and the Sword Fu (got the idea from Roy, a youtuber. I think he is the founder of the build)

    Why Triple Kicks?
Triple kick got a high damage multiplier and decent animation speed (far better than rampage though). It is close to 9x normal damage (snipe for bow gun is at 11,5x while tempest at 9,75x for 1h/2h) and almost guaranteed to crits! Means there will be no accuracy issue (!)

These two triple kick build, the Staff Fu and Sword Fu are excellent on doing their job. Staff fu excels in high damage triple kicks with interrupts that will make your boss run much safer, while sword fu excels in killing speed, a real beast in term of DPS (and rank hogger as a bonus), that will make your boss run much faster.

These are some videos on what they can do to warmonger. Poor warmonger :(

    Staff Fu

A flawless victory for staff fu build! Not even a hit taken!
    Estimated DPS : 4227,4 damage / second

    Sword Fu
    Normal Mode

    RAMPAGE MODE!!!

Yeah... 42 second, including loading screen. But its kinda reckless and prone to dying XD
    Estimated DPS : 7045,7 damage / second

Which one is better? Staff Fu or Sword Fu?
You can see it from the video...

Sword fu is a speed freak build! When used right, only top 10% players will still out dps you. The downside is that you probably will be hated by your party member because you will almost always take the attack, breaker and tank rank. If you decided to take this path, please be considerate to your party member, and use the normal mode combo.

While as not as damaging as sword fu, staff fu offers safety during boss run. You are much more valuable to the party because you will be able to control the boss easily! Besides that, this build suits everyone who loves to see high damage while incapacitating the enemy.

    Recommended Stat
Full STR. Yes full STR. We are going to use staff or 1h Sword as main weapon and knuckle as sub weapon.
Every single STR will add 3 atk for staff and 2 atk for sword. On top of that, 5 STR will increase crit damage by 1%! Triple Kick almost always crits, so STR will increase Triple Kick damage substantially.
On later levels, staff user can start adding INT as it will increase 1 atk and 4 matk. While Sword user can add DEX as it will increase 2 atk and some accuracy.

    Recommended Equipments
Staff Fu : Mace of Destruction (s) or Elemental Ooze Staff (s). I prefer mauez xtal, but a crit +2 or MP+100 xtal would be good enough .
Sword Fu : Crafted Rapier (s), either elemental, CD 8 critical rate 8, CD 8 STR 4% or CD 8 CD 4%. I prefer mauez xtal, but a crit +2 or MP+100 xtal would be good enough.
Armor : Ooze Armor (boss version), BB Garb, Killer coat, or crafted armour with c888, STR4% CD4% or CD 8 CD 4%. Boss Roga xtal is very valuable, else go with crit+2 or MP+100 xtal.
Additional : War Helmet with Warmonger Xtal
Special : Muscle talisman II with Mauez or crit +2/MP+100 xtal.

    nice guide ;)

i had this build on my mind in the past :D, anyways, here are a few thoughts:

    additional weakness:
    1. 1 tap damage during break, staff tap damage rely on Matk (unless they update it to include Str on the computation in the future)
    2. Passive boosting damages from Martial tree will only apply to knuckles when they are equipped as main weapon, including the bonus ampr from Aggravate.
    3. if in the future the build would want Lv.10 Holy Fist, here are the following advantages/penalties (applies on main weapon), based from JP wiki:
Using Knuckles: +50% physical attack, -50% magical attack
Using Staff: +50% magical attack, -50% physical attack

    additional advantages:
    1. increased Impact Tumble rate when using Staffs (+25%)
    2. no damage penalties on auto attacks if this build will include Power Wave

testing these to confirm again would be welcome

What if u use f cape with GS, does it fulfill your 1k aspd?
i have str staff user, its just using snipe instead of tkick.
is there any requirement to use knuckle for tkick?

    edit :
    tkick is no limit.

hmm, speaking of Triple Kick, JP wiki also mentioned the following part:
    ■手甲メイン装備の場合
     威力+100%
     クリティカル率+50%

    ▼ダメージ計算
    (通常攻撃+固定値)×スキル倍率%

    ■ In the case of glove main equipment
    Power + 100%
    Critical rate + 50%

    ▼ damage calculation
(Normal attack + fixed value) × magnification skills%

    Thanks NineArts XD
    Additional Disadvantages :
    1. Actually, I don't know why, if I use MoD, my tap damage on Boss Roga is around 450+, it became 1 when Im wearing morning star though.
    2. Yes, I lose 5 skill points from martial mastery for having no effect and the attack speed increase from martial discipline. But I still get the increase damage of knuckle skills from martial discipline. Need to do more testing. Actually this build doesn't rely on AMPR, it uses MP charge.
    3. That I don't know, i was thinking to use HF only to increase triple kick damage due to damage drop off mechanic. Not thinking that far, thanks for the info XD

    Additional Advantages :
    I missed those, thanks XD

Regarding triple kick damage calculation, i have tested that when Im not equipping knuckle in sub, my damage halved and I see lots of white numbers. So i think, equipping knuckle in sub is enough to get the bonus. The crit bonus is like astute buff for 2 hand! Yaaaaay!

what?! so that 1 tap damage only applies to Morning Star?

thinking more about this build, i would hypothesize that the penalties will not matter because of the nature of Str (1str = 3atk and 5str = 1% critical damage)

so at 211 Str on current Lv.75 cap, that might mean the following:
    • 633 base atk (without equips yet, mine only reached as far as 603 at Lv.75 with my build)
    • +42.2% critical damage (not including natural critical damage, was it +150%?)

lastly, pending test to confirm the following (in my opinion):
    • Magic:Mastery - does it only apply to Matk? if no, we can further enhance damage of this build
    • Adding Magic:Wall and Power Wave on combo, pushback and auto attack at a range will enable you to fill up your MP without the need for dodge
    • Magic:Wall - maximum pushback on max level, and pushback increase every level

i would like to see this build completed, i hope to see consistent 10k+ Triple Kicks per kick :D

Thats true, tap damage is combination of ATK and MATK influenced with damage drop off and element.

ooh i see, that explained why i'm seeing unstable damage, also to add on it, stronger element influences it as well.
like on the case of Ganglef, if you equip Minotaur Knuckles, tap damages are alot higher than your normal attacks

f cape is feather cape with 500 ASPD, while GS is golden skeleton xtal with 300ASPD?
    That sound nice O_O
Im sorry i don't have experience with high end equipment... So can't comment too much about this. In my opinion, the most important thing is crit rate. ASPD come second. In boss fight, i rarely use normal attack, just combo and charge, while in miniboss fight, I use normal attack 5 - 10 times, then unload combo.
If you have the mean to keep triple kick consistently crits, you can go all the way with ASPD, so that you can solo boss more easily XD

You can use triple kick without knuckle, but as what NineArts posted, the damage and crit rate will be reduced by half.

did you try it without jamadhar?

yup, and those tap damage is included in breaker rank calculation as well.

hmmm, crit rate can be achieved by add CRT stat (~20-30 pt). if we can add ASPD, then we can treat this build as the other melee fighter (1h or 2H)
the drawback is the MP pool (which i guess quickdraw might be the solution if you use skill often).
i have idea in my mind to combine snipe and tkick, but that would be consuming too many skill point at current cap

At the moment, my atk is at 903, 200 STR. Btw is there any cap on ATK? Just like attack speed? I don't know how to calculate crit damage XD

Magic mastery would be nice to be learned at higher level. Yeah someone definitely have to test it XD

Well right now, with blaster combo (without normal attack to tinker with damage drop off mechanism), it consistently hit 10k+ per kick B-)

Yes, tested on lavarcas, using knuckle (the weakest knuckle available), all hits are crits. While not using sub weapon, i see white number approximately 40% of the time.

Actually, the solution for MP problem is the access to fastest MP Charge in the game XD

I have tested snipe and tripKick build, but it will only work with BG+knuckle or knuckle+arrow. You might want to pick BG + knuckle for more ATK : STAT ratio and more accuracy for snipe. It doesn't suit me, because i can't spam skill, still can't think of method to replenish MP quickly with this set up.

so it's possible to hit 15k+ per kick consistently with Smite + Damage Drop Off + vs Elemental?

Hi all. First and foremost- YAY! for the 1 INT staff wielder! and thanks

My second is a question- can you confirm you're gaining bonuses from your knuckle passives? I haven't been able to convince myself.

And other stuff that you're welcome to dismiss at your leisure
-3 second MP Charge is cool, not a weakness. If need be though...
-smash/sonic/earthbind -> impact saved -> smited triple kick -> bash/shell break consecutive with Quick Draw

If you want big numbers on your Triple Kick, Shell Break is a thing

Quick Draw is a 20 point investment and will cost you MP Charge and Martial passives (but you'll net 5 and finish HP Boost so 'yay').

Probably comes down to play style and the (at least my) ambiguity on Martial passives applying to non-knuckle primaries (I know the skill descriptions. Tell me they haven't been wrong/misleading in the past :D)

    HAVE FUN!
PS- and a 'yay' to equites for mentioning bowgun because gun-fu is cool
