HB luk as farmer, your thoughts?

Well, im thinking to turn halb of my finale BS, stater synth refiner. Didnt think Halb skills are interesting

 

Good idea, we need to test the farming locations for all the mats. If i have time i will try it. But hope ppl here will do it soonish because we don't have much time for reset left.

 

I am using holyfist-impact(save)-drive impact(swift) on low level mobs. Can anybody recomend similar 1mp combo in dealing with high/same level mobs?

 

Farmed comraby again solo and got 1k mana in about 5min :v.. that's more than full pt at cassy! Probably was more so luck since didn't get that many last time. So far it's definitely proving much better for mana :'D

I don't recommend combo at weak mob, because they may die before you even reach dive impact, and the combo will be wasted mp for nothing. And the less dive impact executed, the less effective in farming.

 

This is a nice discussion btw. I'm particularly intrigued by the idea of a luk farmer as a BG+MD (never ever thought about this equipment combo).

Can use maximizer during mass mob farming party... and can decoy+tank pet/merc when solo farming mobs (or even bosses). Very flexible indeed

 

For Mine Digger, I just used an easy combo

1. Flash Stab (initialize)
2. Magic: Impact (save)
3. Dive Impact (smite)
   
4. Quick Aura (swift)

Mine diggers had no problems with me at all, just keep giving me metal mats.
Grape gelatins, on the other hand, always knocked me back before I could even activate Dive Impact.

 

Can your dive impact skill the grape gelatin without smite? I mean, put it out of the combo because that is a long combo for a close ranged attack, a lot of fast mobs can hit yoi before you get to the main attack.

 

Dive impact will have a hard time killing grape gelatin without smite. Just use 1 lvl 10 gsw. You will have no problem with getting hit. Just eefresh the buff when timer runs out.

 

It depends on your lvl and which mob you want to farm, if going full luk>rest str doesnt kill the mob you wanna farm in 1 hit then its better to increase your lvl first to allocate more sp to str

 

I also tried farming comraby solo using full luk 255 rest str 185 lvl 164 halberd with dive impact and it's true lol, the mana I can get there from farming comraby alone is way more than a full luk storm at cassy xD, the comrabys tend to congregate in the corner of the map making for an ideal farming location, just need to get 100 crit as well as a decent staff, I hope more people switch to luk Hb in international so we can get parties there, Luk HB new farm meta!

 

With the way things are going, HB may receive the next nerf. Been farming toysoldiers using Dive impact for Mp +250 back in the days.

So update on comraby farm :v
Was able to get a full pt with 1hb+3mages. But this time only received 1.5k mana in about 10min. Same as cassy and potentially could've been lower if farmed longer. Spawn rate wasn't too good.

A main issue I had was that my combo got stopped at impact often as mobs were being finished off from storm. So would a team of only halbs perform better or would any non storm aoe just get in the way?

And also is it normal for low spawn rates of certain mobs in full pt? Because usually mobs continuously respawn. Unless I'm missing something :v

 

These are the amount of mats I got after 5 minutes of solo farming using my lvl 164 full luk rest str halberd:

 

Did your party farm comraby at the end of the boss room beside that little alley in the wall where they spawn? Also I think an ideal party composition would be 1 md finale and 3 halberd farmers, the md finale's weak 3rd hit will aggro all the comrabys that wandered too far from the spawning location and have the halberd farmers finish them off, that way they would continously spawn in that alley without a couple of comrabys escaping outside and lessening the spawn rate

 

I did test on grape jelly yesterday, 100 str is good enough to beat grape jelly. my combo is impact> dive (swift)> quick aura (swift). The character lvl at lvl 50 with +E hb (ns). I use hb form this event which gave +30 crt rate. Decent output dmg but some mobs did evasion... I will test it at nepenthe later.

 

Kinda hard to farm them victribell on hb coz of the limited reach of the long pokey stick. They do bunch up often which makes farming like playing tag.(kinda remind me of the jerk in one of my airsoft buddies "tag u guys are it, a grenade!")

 

For me, HB is more of a solo farmer because mobs tend to die before you can even start dive impact. I got kicked out of farm parties because of this. They thought I was freeloading.
