Ranger Class Build

I only provide the basic info, how people set their combos, and make the build work, its up to them. Once again this is my personal guide on how to build the Ranger, in the most optimal way without wasting Spina/Skill Points/Time on items and skills which give benefit but not effectivity.

I will not post my Combo set up, as I have before, but been playing with it as time goes by. Each Combo set up is for everyone to discover by themselfs. My skill set up might not be the best to some players, but it works wonders for me. I am running around now with 4 bars of MP, as I am no longer using Seltiro Xtal. So theres an opening to different Combo set ups.

Once again, this is just my perspective of how the class should be played effectively and efficiently. Not your run of the mill conservative build, nor the basic, 1k mp 1.6k HP builds around the area(FB groups, Gunner Builds).

I take critics, advices, opinions . I don't mind, Thats what this guide is there for. For people to check it, see if it works for them, if not, just discards it and remake your char. This guide took me 11 Chars Remakes to make it work. Honestly speaking, anyone in this forum who has pt with me, knows this build works on a PvE aspect as I have stated on the OP. Its up to each player to find its usage.

I don't want to see people running around just like me xD, my skill build is basic, my combo set is personal, and XTAL set up, is for each to set by themself, I wont suggest Xtal set up, everyone has to mold their char as they see fit.

If I handed all the info about my build. It wouldnt be my build anymore, it would be easy bread pop tarts. I can't hand everything on a silver plate. This builds both SKill/Crit are basic build, one molds them to their own liking. I have 7 different constructs based on this 2 builds. This teaches people you can play around with them.

I will name them to you just for your knowledge.

Spike/Crit/DPS in 1 build
Wall Ranger
Sonic Wave Ranger
Tech Smith/Chemmy Ranger
Farming Ranger
Spike Ranger
Agi Ranger

This are different constructs I have build up from this builds. As I explained on the post above "This are basic builds" you can work them from scratch.

Sorry but till now I didn't really got what spike damage is

 

Spike means Relaying on Outburst of damage = Full attack build, and with low Stability = 40-60% which can only be achived by placing -% Stability on your crafted gear. This type of builds, normally outburst one big hit out of 5 normally this outburst tend to be x2.5 higher dmg than current crits. Only problem is that this type of builds tend to be glass cannons.

 

@Kimesato What does archers have over other classes in terms of usefulness? Is it a jack-of-all-trades or is it a type of status dealer? Where does it come in handy?
Just asking so I can have more of an incentive to power level.

 

@Argo Honestly speaking, as my personal opinion.
We are not a jack of all trades. Basically, we are a single target class built to crowd control single target situations, we can control a battle flow if we keep an eye on our surroundings and how our other pt members fight.

Basically this is a class to keep others alive, while ditching a hella lot of damage at the same time.
For example. Mage spikes a boss and boss changes aggro to the mage, while tank can't pull it off, you Moeba or Stumble the Boss. If it does reach the mage, para shot it to slow down the cast time of the skill or single attack casting time of the boss.

Also after cap 70 comes out we will have a better repertory of skills at our disposition.

For a small summary, its worth it on the long run, if you like range combat, and having control of the situation, Ranger is the way to go.

Archers farm both mage farms and anti-mage farms, it's definitely a win win. It's also to get into a pt with and it's easy to lvl up as well with its arrow rain

 

well,my build isnt the same with kime,but at least kime's guide still helps some
like some gears/xtal infos
but I totally agreed that archer is the hardest job to build up in toram atm

 

My main is a mage but I just started an archer. Have to say I've fallen inlove with it. Built it different from kime's base build but his is solid in terms of customization of an archer in the long run. An archer can easily out dps mages or steal ranks if you know how to play it right.

 

Yea by sabotaging their Magic Walls. Lol

 

And no flinch omg LOL. Regardless, I still love my mage but an archer requires a keen eye on all your surroundings which makes game play even more interesting.

 

Sorry Max, as stated on my guide, Combos/Xtals I wont provide info on it, each to their own and how they want to create the structure of their ranger. But yes, Ranger is the most entertaining class in whole game for me.

XDDDDD You meanieeee xDD. But meh, I don't compete with mages any more, thats a waste of time. I rather Outdps other rangers, or 2hs xDD

This is the main reason why I play a ranger, its ground work all day long xD

i mean when outdpsing Mage Class since archer always got the aggro IF there's no Provoke tank and were not using crafted items with -Aggro/Spy Ring.

Once again, this skill build is my personal skill build. Now personally, the Attack Up is useless, but the Smash is very useful, when it does proc its DMG x 2.5dmg more from your current hit. + it unlocks Crit up (which I do have).

So its basically up to you, you could use those 30 skills points on something else. Up to you really .
