Swordsman Build

So i see alot of them nubbies lookin for help on warrior skill builds etc. So i decided to graciously help yall out. Skills: hard hit 5 points. Astute 10 points. Trigger slash 6 points ( 6 points because at 5 points it costs 300 mp to use and at 6 its 200.) Swordmastery 10 points. Quick slash 5-10 points. Sword technique 10 points. Survival skill tree: Safe rest 5 points. Hp boost 10 points. Stats: Str until lvl 40 then start adding Crit. Dont get dex or agi. My swordsman lvl 44 deals 13k astute on mini bosses. With 2h and 8-9k with 1h (with combo astute with smite.) I Reccomended this combo. Hard hit>Astute (smite)>Trigger slash(Consecutive) this combo takes up 300mp if using a 2h and 200mp if using a 1h. you can use any weapon you prefer with this build. 2h or 1h doesnt matter. I can tank any boss with it and solo anythin perfectly.

 

I will update the guide in the future when level cap is raised and more skills are available.

 

I'm full on dex, because i go one handed sword build. I go on full aspd, like brutal d sword, wolf armor, etc. But i think i easly die, do you have any sugestion for it?? Should i use guard rate% or hp+ or survival hp+ or something else??

 

Get golem xtals maybe. And get safe rest 5 points and hp boost 10 points its from survival skill tree.

 

Ive been a bit skeptical about str, future monster may have more evasion or guard which makes the accuracy needed. But its good for now ill give it a shot. Btw whats best on slots? I usually put attack speed.

 

Personally I use all +100 HP xtals because my stats are full dex.

 

My build is str + crit. The crit makes up for the accuracy and golem xtals the best for now.

 

Are you recommending one Golem xtal or multiple Golem xtals?

 

Multiple. I dont use any xtals on any characters tho. Im still one of the best in all classes without them.

 

So if its mutiple a shield is recommended? I use knuckle dusters for a sub weapon for mana regen since that seems to work.

 

Obviosuly if your using 1h use a shield with it.

 

I asked because Golem crystal is a weapon exclusive crystal. Clearly stated in it's description. Use a Tortuga crystal in armor if you want more guard rate. Accesories, Additional Gear, and sub weapons (crystal effects don't work in sub slot anyway) will have no effect with these crystals. Otherwise there are currently no other guard rate/resist crystals.

You may want to look into Boss Colon xtals as well for hp/mp. Or Minotaur Crystals for hp/aspd. If you want more DPS look into Brutal Dragon Crystal for it's 1% or so increase. You're best increases will be through +7 or +9ing gear though. Or getting high ATK % swords from players.

Faust please tell them to max Shield Mastery so they don't lose aspd while equipping a shield. If you're going to use a shield, scrap 5 points from Quick Slashing and max Shield Mastery, it will improve your aspd more often than not.

Golem xtal is a weapon only xtal eh. Well idk why people say they gonna use multiple ones. But yeah i dont use xtals *^* dont know evry crystals boosts. I dont think shield mastery is eccesary yet. Armor skill tree will be neccesary at higher lvl tho.

The people that recommend it don't usually read descriptions past effects. Or don't realize how overpowering 20% Guard rate and Reduction would be for any build. Or that Tortuga exist as the armor Guard Rate/Reduction crystal.

I feel that if you're not tanking and using a shield, you're better off maxing it then getting Quick Slashing. Every point you have on reduces a % reduction that affects your aspd more and more as you gain aspd. Effectively cancelling the % aspd increases you get from Light Armor and worsening the effects of Heavy armor aspd reduction. Armor Masteries can be left for much later. As I agree that they are good, but not yet nessacary.

 

Exactly. I plan on adding armor mastery skills to the guide much later on.

lol it was just a joke. But seriously shields seem to only be good if you have the skills to support them. Most people have gone straight dps and can tank the damage no problem.

 

My build isnt a tanking build and i can tank anything.

 

Crit improves accuracy?
