Toram Lore: Is Iruna obligatory to understand? is it worth playing?

Iruna is very important story wise.
Unless if you are like one of those players who plays some PC games that is the lastest installment of game. Cause it got better graphics, and skip past games just because of "bad graphics".
Think of iruna like half life 1 + half life 2 with bad graphics. You skip those and directly play Half life Alyx, which is equal to Toram and have no idea what the hell happened in the world of half life.

Lore wise, Iruna adventurer = Toram Adventurer.
That only applies when you have actually player iruna completely.
If you haven't played iruna, then you are not the same adventurer from iruna, because you don't even know the past.

Iruna and toram devs are very clever. You need to think outside the game to grasp this clever factor, to determine if your character in Toram is as the character in Iruna, or not.
It's very simple, when you play iruna completely, you know the past. Then you play toram. Since you have a character in iruna online + memories of what happened in "Iruna 1", then of course you are the same adventurer from iruna as in toram.
The game is called toram.(The project name was Iruna 2.)
And guess what there is another project called Iruna 3.
Just like how some people skip iruna, when iruna 3 comes out, there will be people who will completely skip toram and directly play Iruna 3(Not official name).
That obviously would make them not the same adventurer as from iruna and toram. Since their past does not even exist.

How can you be same adventurer as Iruna = Toram?

Spoiler: Major Spoiler Alert.

Time Travelling in Iruna. This is something you would know if you already played iruna. So you just time travelled from iruna game(Past) to toram(Future). In some way Iruna online is actually Present time, while Toram Online is future time, or Iruna Online is Past time and Toram is Present time. You will get the idea when you play both games completely.

And if just watch on YouTube some high lvl players doing main quest, in order to know story of Iruna, then you are just watching story of a real adventurer, while you remain a half adventurer, with no past. Just because you know the story of Iruna, that doesn't make your adventurer character in Toram = adventurer from iruna. Because your character does not even exist in iruna 1, who has reached end of main quest.

Don't be surprised that iruna yet gets updates
Simply because without past there cannot be future.
Without iruna there cannot be toram.
And as of now Iruna Online is the only asobimo game that is getting graphics update, under the project name "Iruna HD".
You can wait until entire graphics update is complete in iruna online, that can take years, since it started quite recently.

 

unless you can transfer character data from IO to TO it makes no difference whether you played through the story yourself or watched it on youtube, since everything you do in and outside side quests has no effect on the development and outcome of the main quest.

the player character from IO appears in TO as the "Legendary Adventurer" when you fight Bexiz. they are not the same person.

 

Yeah and that legendary adventurer uses 2h sword.
You think all players in iruna use 2h sword.
2hs is limited to few classes.
That being like gladiators and samurai.
So all adventurers were samurai and gladiator?
That legendary adventurer in toram is not the iruna adventurer as everyone plays in Iruna. Legendary adventurer is someone else entirely.

Warrior of Light is in Iruna.(He is one of the "Adventurers" in Iruna, story wise.)You will get some idea.(That legendary adventurer is not Warrior of light or who knows, just an example.

And as I said, you need to think outside the game, to determine if your char is the same Iruna adventurer = Toram adventurer or not.
That is only possible if your character actually exists in Iruna online or not.

You can say otherwise, but ultimately if your char doesn't even exist in iruna, then of course you are not the same adventurer from iruna, no doubt in that.
It's obvious.
As for players who's characters exist in iruna and they have reached latest main quest in iruna.
Then rejoice, because your Toram character = Iruna character.
