But great guide...but it kills me to learn tht sword tech dosnt boost Tempest DMG cuz it's a long range skill

 

shouldn't sword technique raise damage of sword skills? (sword skills, not short range skills)
or maybe sword tempest is considered air bending and not a sword skill

 

I do believe tht sword tech raise short range DMG for sword skills.

 

if this is true, then it's confirmed that sword tempest is actually air bending

 

I will make one note. Short Range % has been tested as part of the crit study. It does increase autoattack damage for swords. Nothing else was tested.

 

Thanks for the heads up. I found out that auto attacks of 8m+ with Power Wave were also increased with Long Range Damage %. With this and your observation of Short Range % increasing damage while auto attacking with swords we can say that regarding auto attacks the character's distance from the target does matter.

I thought that it was canon regarding auto attack range? And that the question was, what skills were affected by either short range damage and long.range damage modifiers?
