Another stealthy change made to the mechanics.

As I am retired from the game I don't really know when did this happen:

But it had been like this since the beginning of the game:

    Notice the difference?
The developers changed it from being "Bow / Bowgun", which really was "Bow / Bowgun / Arrow" and limited only to Shot Skills, to "No Limit". This made me login to test if something worked differently and YES. IT NOW BOOSTS BY 10% SKILLS OUTSIDE THE SHOT TREE.

    Here's what I did:
Fresh character with Moeba Lv1, Sonic Wave Lv1, Arrows Lv1. Stability 100%.
    Base ATK was 96.
    Target was Raffy Lv1.

White damage with NO Long Range PASSIVE, at any distance:
    Moeba 172
    S. Wave 142
    Arrows 44

With Long Range PASSIVE Lv10, BELOW AND ABOVE 8M:
    Moeba 189
    S. Wave 156
    Arrows 44
(It added the 10% of the original damage in top of the 2 physical skills regardless of distance)

    Result:
Long Range SKILL still doesn't affect magic, just as Range % in equipment.
Long Range SKILL now affects other skills outside Shot Skills, like Sonic WAVE which has the possibility to be executed from afar.
Long Range SKILL still doesn't detect where the character is positioned (if in long or short range) so it is active ALWAYS.

With Tempest being a skill executed from a distance just as Sonic Wave, my test opens the possibility of Tempest being boosted by this passive skill by 10% at any distance now that it was modified to No Limit.

And everyone happy because Asobimo keeps spoiling swordies.

I've stated many times that Range % in equipment DOES DETECT your character's distance from the target, but it doesn't affect magic skills with exception of Impact. So your dagger mage needs to be in 8m or more to get the boost from the staff stats, but with the new skill modification if you have Long Range passive your dagger skills get the boost at any distance.

It's gonna be tricky for 2h tempest users coz they fight close range only benefit if the boss like Roga and Black Knight dashes away.

He already said because of the changes in Long Range passive skill. It will boost those skills that can be cast at 8m+ regardless of the distance u cast the skill
